Maryville has two good pitchers. Kaleb Penley and Drew Holt. Penley dominated the WB vs Mhs opening game outpitching Mcgill. Holt threw a shut out against seymour. If i do recall, Penley had 15 strikeouts against farragut in the district tournment where he outpitched catapano. These are two pitchers you need to lookout for

QUOTE(ihavenofriendzz @ Mar 16 2007 - 04:58 PM) 826414357[/snapback]i dont know. i heard the game agaisnt Collierville was moved to 5pm. but i dont know about North Cobb. I dont think they were rained out though because when i went by the field the players were in uniform.

Just spoke with someone at the field. The Farragut vs Collierville game was not played (if and/or when it will be played remains to be seen). The Farragut vs North Cobb game scheduled for 5:30 is set to start as scheduled. At this point it looks like remaining games as scheduled tonight and Coach Pharr will try to juggle the schedule to get all games in if possible. Coach Pharr will look at the schedules after the Farragut vs North Cobb game to see how he can best work it out, so I'm sure someone will have a revised schedule later this evening.

Buck played in the JV game against Maryville. I think he was 1-4 and they got runruled in 5 innings. Looks like he will be a player someday. Not ready yet. JMO

Farragut lost to North Cobb 9-5. Farragut gave up 4 in the 2nd, 4 in the 6th, and 1 in the 7th. i feel asleep listening to it so i dont know when Farragut scored their runs but apparently Farragut had a couple very costly errors. So Farragut is now 0-3 this year.

Farragut is scheduled to play Science Hill at 12pm and Dobyns Bennett at 7:30pm tomorrow @ Farragut.

Bulldawg, Caty shuts out Maryville in that game, gives up 2 hits, no walks and strikes out +8 for the win, How is that out pitched?

Penley pitched a good game but did not strike out 15.

actually if you want to get technical, catapano struck out six walked two. Penley struck out 15 and walked one. Gave up 2 hits as well. they scored 2 runs on 2 errors by the short stop.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
