Ok well maybe he just played a superb game against us, but I still think he's capable of doing brilliant things with the ball at his feet. Our defense is pretty good, a little inexperienced, but still good, and he still got a few open looks. He was definitely the most dangerous player on their team. And club is a lot different from high school ball. I know a few excellent high school players who never even played club, and some players who are good or decent in club don't do too well in high school.

I guess that was at the request of Farragut players- and I agree it was not fair to them. However, my statement was about --can Tennessee compete with other states that have highschools with 4000- 5000 students- YOUR reply was that the schools in Texas were not that large and that You have exposed me as a fraud!!

You specifically mentioned San Antonio, because I did first. here is their biggeer schools, and their enrollment:

Madison 3130- Reagan 3450- Churchhill 2982- Clark 2789- Marshall 2557-MacArthur 2853- Jay 2720- Taft 2545 (however they usually have 3500 or more) Judson 3363 (this School has had enrollment above 5000, however Military downsizing has recently changed the number to under 4000).

Now here are the numbers for the dominate schools in Tennessee : Farragut 2309- Bearden 2009- Hendersville 1440- Brentwood 1308. If you a going to be specific, then be specific! Don't make up a bunch of numbers and say someone else doesn't know something. If you would like to SEE the actual numners here is the EXACT website address:

That will make it easy for you. My point was that sheer numbers dictate that schools from states with larger populations have an advantage- doesn't make them better JUST because of numbers, but an advantage....YES!!

Tom Webster controlled his whole side of the field and sent many crosses right at the moth of your goal.

as for Brentwood, you guys have a strng team within my experience, but you guys have a weak schedule year after year, if your team would push some harder games and get used to playing at an even higher intensity i think you all could get that title back.

as for their goalkeeper, Brian is great and will do well all this year, i say it is going to be really hard to get 2 goals on Bearden this year.

Welcome back, Tin Man! Hope school is going well for you. I also hope you are still going into coaching!

 

I agree that Tom Webster is an extremely good player. He certainly dominated in our game. Brian Walker has some of the longest drop kicks ever, and has that necessary insanity to be a fearless keeper.

You should have two really good freshman this year in Patrick and Alex. Both are strong players and have been playing against some of the best competition the past two years at the club level. With the speed and talent Bearden has up top, teams better score more than 2 goals against them. Like you say that will be hard with Brian in goal.

SO!!!! started as a freshman at mid-field after only 8 games!! Impressive! Your college finished 21st in the polls I see- when will you win a National Championship???

Psuedie- You were not CALLED a fraud by me , and my post doesn't reflect that. It was the poster named Bruin that said he checked into things and found you a fraud. I do think you are full of it about Texas being so superior, HOWEVER< you are entitled to your opinion and to make mistakes, which you did because I didn't call you a fraud, but YOu must have been a nonessential player in Texas, becasue I haven't heard of ANY GREAT players now in Tennesse from Texas, so you must not be any good here either!!! tom webster is a great player. He has been good since he came to west valley in the 8th grade from taiwan. he does things i cant possibly think of even trying at practice
