QUOTE(Metroman @ Mar 3 2007 - 08:40 PM) 826398713I was going to call this upset, but didn't have the guts to put it on here.

Two years in a row, 6-AAA sends a Metro team to state.

Antioch won 60-59... /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

QUOTE(Wildcats 08 @ Mar 3 2007 - 09:00 PM) 826398751well you know you don,t have to brag that much icy what ever your name is because riverdale will take care of ya,ll and at least we have a state championship and i manage the refs were horrible

C'mon, from your comments you must not have even been at the game. Give credit to Antioch rather than - imagine that the refs did it, or that WC must have had SUCH a bad night that even with the team BACK from last year, the MJ transfers, the "genious" (or was it sheer genious?) coaching staff, playing AT HOME.... /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

Props to Antioch!

All right buddy boys Mailman and Silk - wha' hoppened?

Well I can tell you now the officiating was horrendous. TJ also did foul out halfway through the fourth.

I'd say at least 90% of the game was either a tie to 4 point Antioch lead. Wilson Central just could not get a lead, whether it was a crazy call or an elementary miscue by WC.

But Antioch to me did look like they wanted it more and were coached alot better, and their #10 was tough. GL to them in state.

I posted that WC would win, but did say the way for Antioch to beat WC was to get TJ into foul trouble early (remember WC vs. MJ at MJ? This was the case...9 points, etc..)

Good for Metro, and good luck to Antioch.

The story of 2007 is the amazing amount of great AAA teams this year, should be quite a tourney!

From what I can remember she had 2 fouls in the first half (she looked like she was sick though the entire game) and fouled halfway through the fourth. She played every second though up to that point..

They were getting DOMINATED underneath though.

    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
    • Dorian Eskridge had a great Junior year, highlighted by a great game to lead HVA to an upset win at OR that year. I think that was 2010. In 2011 OR won at HVA. OR had a real good QB that year l think. Dorian Eskridge had a great senior year also. He always played hard from the DCM videos l saw.
    • It seems we lost a ton to graduation. We shall see how it shapes up for 2024.
