QUOTE(Wilson Central Dogg @ Mar 3 2007 - 09:30 PM) 826398818From what I can remember she had 2 fouls in the first half (she looked like she was sick though the entire game) and fouled halfway through the fourth. She played every second though up to that point..

They were getting DOMINATED underneath though.

How could that happen?! I'm serious and not being funny, but those three kids could be a wall most games

Antioch was boxing out and WC wasn't. Often they just they just did drive up layups and noone was guarding the middle. Especially in the first half their points were coming off second and third chances.

QUOTE(MJ AND BEYOND @ Mar 3 2007 - 09:17 PM) 826398791C'mon, from your comments you must not have even been at the game. Give credit to Antioch rather than - imagine that the refs did it, or that WC must have had SUCH a bad night that even with the team BACK from last year, the MJ transfers, the "genious" (or was it sheer genious?) coaching staff, playing AT HOME.... /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

Props to Antioch!

All right buddy boys Mailman and Silk - wha' hoppened?

I'm giving credit to Antioch, no doubt. It takes a real team [or player-#10] to beat Wilson Central.

The refs should not have been qualified to ref a game of such importance. They let Antioch play dirty & rough, but wouldn't let Wilson Central get anywhere near the other team without a foul.

As for the MJ transfers, I don't think life is so great. I've seen one of them fighting back & forth with Bud Brandon, & it didn't seem to be about the game.

Antioch played well & played like they wanted it, really bad.

QUOTE(cobrafan90 @ Mar 3 2007 - 09:59 PM) 826398881Way to do Antioch!

Its amazing how many losing teams complain about the refs. From the box score seems like WC couldn't guard the "gnat"(30 pts). Next time use OFF.

Not blaming the whole games on the refs. Antioch worked very hard, & yes, #10 wasn't really stopped the whole game. Just might've helped Wilson Central have faith if they knew the refs weren't aiming for them.

I almost don't mind bad refs as long as the calls are consistent and equal, know what I mean?

The transfers - back in the day there was a question about team chemistry...did it finally come to a boil?

I know exactly what you mean with the refs. If both teams are playing physical, then it's kind of ok.

From what I saw, maybe not exactly the team, but the players & coaches. The attitude I saw, I doubt Coach Fryer would've put up with. [just an opinion]

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
