Did Antioch really beat Wilson Central?

I'm in a state of Shock.

 

I find it impossible to believe WC with what they had returning this season would even lose a single game. With Jenkins, Hassale, and Williams I would have pounded that ball in the paint every possession. Its amazing they could lose to Antioch after beating them by 15 earlier this season.

 

I guess chemistry might have had something to do with their downfall.

Clearly I didn't. No, they weren't good, but Antioch played like they wanted it & Wilson Central didn't stop #10, & that's why the game ended like it did.

Box score has Gunn #10 with 30 points. How can a team like WC let a 4'11 guard score 30. Gunn has the biggest heart in basketball and I hope she gets a chance to play at the next level. She will be a great addition to any team.(no matter what her size is) Great player and an even better person.

Gunn is a great player, but I still can't figure out how they let her score 30. I expected Wilson Central to be smarter than this.

The perimeter got shots off, but I guess just bad shooting night. Not a good night to have bad shooting.

Gunn was just mostly doing drive up layups and noone was guarding the post. But she made some incredible shots even when someone got there to try and block it.

 

I dunno it just seemed like Jenkins and Hassell were really straying defensively tonight.

I watched Wilson Central put the whoopin on Clarksville NE as a neutral fan...I knew then I would be seeing them in the State Finals. YOU should see the shock on my face now. Like the old saying goes" boy,... thats why they play the game".

WC I believe could have gone all the way! One bad game because of coaching, not wanting it more, and just playing scared cost a big one for the Lady Wildcats. What can you say though? Now, smyrna, mj, shelbyville, and central are out. To me, that's kind of a shocker......

 

I hope Riverdale takes it home. Ann Marie Lanning deserves it.

Who cares what happened. What happened to MJ against Clarksville Northeast. From what I remember WC beat both MJ and NE. Yeah central didn't go all the way, but they still went farther than everyone in their district. Shows that they are better than a lot of teams.
