From what they said, this is the first time ever that a team did not make a two point field goal in a game..Jackson County was 6 for 24 from the field, all 3-pointers, and 4 for 4 from the free throw line.

Other impressive stat is both teams combined were 24 for 24 from the free throw line.

Congrats Lady Devils on a great season, good luck in the championship game Gleason.

QUOTE(dctigerfan07 @ Mar 9 2007 - 01:53 PM) 826406360Who wouldnt talk about Brown and his girls?! Looks like this game is over...good job Gleason. Brown deserves something for his accomplishments this season. He lost three starters and is playing mostly fresmen this year and still made it to the state semis...thats sound coaching...Gleason, ill be watching you play for the gold ball tommorrow! Good luck!

how did the team lose three starters? injuries? moved? quit? what happened?

still as you said good season -- only one senior on jchs --- they will be back i am sure of it !!!!!!!!

QUOTE(SportsWizard @ Mar 9 2007 - 03:55 PM) 826406438U R RIGHT. Oliver Springs should just go home.

Think again, Bubba! Records at this point mean nothing and Gleason is going to find out that there are no gimmes at this level. And Gleason better be prepared to hit something from outside 10 feet if they think they can beat the Lady Bobcats. East TN has an excellent opportunity to win 3 out of 4 state championships this year. With so many people looking down their noses at OS during this tournament...watch out! They are a team of destiny.......

    • While one may be inclined to perceive this narrative through a lens of fiction, it behooves us to recognize the inherent robustness of its credibility. For those seeking veracity, the surest path lies in direct engagement with the primary source. Let us adhere diligently to the matter at hand, focusing our deliberations on the matter of paramount importance: the identification of the individual most suited to assume the mantle of head coach. I invite introspection and discourse regarding not only personal preferences but also the criteria defining merit and suitability for this esteemed position.
    • If it’s one single kid then that argument would make sense. He’s essentially had to replace his entire coaching staff in the first two seasons, and like it’s been pointed out only one left for a better job. The two most talented players in the area both left, and number of others are actively trying to leave, including the head basketball coaches son. Also, the rumors of financial problems and over spending by Jones. Unpaid bills, missing money, inability to fundraise, has the boosters sick of being hit up for money.    Im saying that is the definition of a poorly run disorganized program. If you want to pretend it’s a well oiled machine maybe you should take your maroon glasses off. All I know is I wouldn’t let my boys play in that kind of mess.
    • It usually gets tiresome when posters play characters on the board, but I must admit that I’ve found some humor in wingback’s take on this art form.  However, his rundown on the potential candidates seems as much fiction as his persona!
