Seems to me, that if it is legal for the booster club to provide just compensation, any no votes by "certain board members" would be a clear sign of alterior motives, and not doing what is best for the kids. The kids work hard and need the best coach that the community can afford. Period.

I heard a "rumor" this morning that Curtis Newberry has applied for the job.

Personally I don’t think he will get hired as the head coach. I can’t really see him coaching in Morgan County.

I heard a Coach from Florida wants it?????? I think I heard he spoke with administrators today. I don't think Curtis Newberry would fit in at Wartburg.

There has been some VERY qualified people interview for the job. The little old town of Wartburg might just get a REALLY good coach /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> . Its looking pretty good right now.

Ive recently heard from a couple of SHS football players that The old coach davis said he lightend the schedule this year by replacing oneida and Catholic with Scott High And Midway. This statement should have the highlanders fired up and ready for the first game.

Well there is a huge difference between Knox Catholic and Scott County. Knox Catholic is a top 10 team in 3a every year. So yeah there is a difference in Scott County and Knox Catholic.

Midway beat oneida like 25-0 last year. IMO that is inplying that they think oneida is better than scott also.
