Rankings ?

How are these rankings done? I seen a team play the other day, OVERTON, they are not even in the rankings? Has anybody watched this team? If this team is hitting on all cylinders they will beat Brentwood solidly.They are very impressive, I have seen both teams play this year and I am not associated with either team, but skill for skill they way outclass Brentwood, but they are individual skills, if they play as a team as I seen last week, Brentwood is in trouble.

Beats me. I had never heard of them in my life. CoachT doesn't have a schedule for them. Who have they played and how have they done?

These rankings are fairly acurate i saw Dickson Co. play Overton in a pre season game and DC won 4-3 but it shuld have been a beating Dickson had at least ten perfect chances to score but didn't capitalize. Brentwood would demolish Overton

"skill for skill they way outclass Brentwood". i dont know how you can say that seriously. brad jacobs,tomi hommonay,danny rayburn,jordan leedle,dave dermody,wally dant,michael giordano. that's a pretty solid group of players from brentwood. if you can name a group from overton better than that than i'll admit i was wrong.

 

in addition, brentwood has tied CBHS(a very good team) and beat BGA 3-1. those a 2 very respectable results. brentwood should definitely,in my opinion, be ranked higher.

Rankings are irrelevant anyways. They don't win fifty-fifty balls, games, or championships. They're based on wins and losses, but many times, the final score of a game does little to no justice of how the actual entire game went. I've played in and watched many games where the team that winds up having the most shots and the most possession does not win the game. It's also a tall task to ask one individual to pay attention to every game of every team, although I do admit, mjuhb does a lot more than most of us are willing to do.

Bottom line: no use complaining about imaginary numbers that do nothing but inflate the heads of players and fans.

We see where you are coming from, some dont agree but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I personally think houston is a team that will surprise people later in the year. Brentwood is overrated like always and will struggle against tough opponents. Bearden looks pretty good but I think Farragut is a slight bit better and I really dont know much about west I just think they are like brentwood in being overrated because of the quality of players they both have.

 

Those are my 2 cents so either like them or dont agree and tell us your own opinions.

mjuhb, just to clear things up i wasnt complaining. you do a great job of keeping up with all of the information. i was just saying i believe they should be higher.

 

but, statechamps07, brentwood is not overrated this year. so far, they're doing pretty well against quality teams.

I agree Brentwood has beefed up their schedule this year. BGA and CBHS are both quality teams and that should help come tournament time.

sorry MANU..Brentwood will be overrated until they actually prove themselves. MJUHB is doing a great job with the rankings and its good that brentwood is not at the top b/c they cant compete with the teams from the west

I cant pronounce any of thier names ( Overton), 95% of this team seem to be forigners ,probably illegal aliens, who knows...... I was expecting to see a bunch of selfish players like the past teams they had, lots of skill individually but no teamwork. Bbut they worked the ball around very well, passes were excellent, they seemed to be just as crisp at the end as they were in the beginning. Brentwood seemed to have alot of privleged upper class whiners that argued with the ref way too much. I did see one ref who looked like a cross between santa clause and shrek, who acted as if brentwood hung the moon. he allowed them to get away with alot. It will be a good game, but I think Brentwood will be shocked. What happened to Brentwood last year? Bearden 3 Brentwood 0 , If they beat Overton soundly they will have accomplished a task. They still would not have my respect because of thier bratty arrogance, but they will have proved they can beat a good team. Ravenwood looked good too, that will be a challenge also.

like i said..brentwood is overrated..very overrated
