I think they will split the 2 games next week.
PageMan
I think Marshall will win both based on the fatigue factor of Giles Co. playing in the Good Day to Play Tournament at Creek Wood, Harpeth, and Dickson Co. this weekend. It's a pretty good drive to that area from Pulaski as well so road time could also tire the Bobcats. As far as the district is concerned, it will be a cat fight between the Giles Co. Bobcats (6-2) and the Marshall Co. Tigers (6-2) with Loretto (5-3) poised to slip ahead of Giles. Page (4-4) will probably be the #4 seed depending on the games with Lewis Co. (1-7) who appears to be the #6 seed and Spring Hill (2-6) appears to be the #5 seed depending on the games with Loretto.
SuperSport
I see this series going every way. If Holley is on when its his night to pitch, Giles will have a good chance. Both teams have had their ups and downs. We shall see!
Pedro
Throughout the season, Marshall has failed to play two days in a row to their potential level. In the Monday games thus far in the district, MC has outscored opponents 46-8 going 4-0. The Tuesday games, however the Tigers have failed to play with the least bit of passion going 2-2 only outscoring 22-16 making many more errors with a huge dropoff in hitting too. Marshall is definitely the most well-rounded team in this district with the best potential and talent, but they have came out flat too many times this year and that will not get them anywhere. They should beat Giles twice but they have to SHOW UP ready to go both days. I'm sure the coaches will have them ready both games next week. The Tigers bounced back from the Loretto loss tonight with a 2-0 win over Lincoln County. Corey Sorrells pitched a 1-hit shutout.
