CRUTCHFIELD
I've heard a lot of smack talking about how good the Chargers could be, but I still don't think they will have what it takes to beat Meigs, Polk, ND, Howard, East Ridge. Anythings possible!! I think Meigs, Polk, Notre Dame, Howard, and East Ridge all lost their best players. But Howard has a freshman coming in from the middle school. Write this down and quote me, by the time he leaves Howard he will be better than Council. East Ridge lost Bradford Turner, and Meigs and Polk both lost their RB's. One good thing for Howard is that we have recievers and we still have out tailback returning.

Let me go on record as saying that i am a meigs county supporter to the core, but i do think it is about time for the unthinkable to happen. I posted on here last year that i thought meigs had a good chance to loose to central simply because of the talent difference. In talent i am mostly referring to speed and skill . I think you give credit where credit is due--meigs has owned central for quite a while and that is even more reason to think it has to be getting close for the streak to be broken. ON top of that is the fact that central seems to be headed in the right direction and simply looks to be getting better players than meigs. Dont get me wrong i hope it doesnt happen but i am afraid the time is getting near.

If Meigs still has those RBs then they will win the region again. that tailback was tough

Old Warhorse
Chargers are still young but a year older. Most of team sophomores and juniors. Adding some skill-type players off baseball team. Bigger, stronger and faster than last year. Proved they can score last year. Very weak defensively--Needs improvement if going to compete in region that is on the rise. Meigs plays Central in Decatur plus Meigs returns a lot. No question that the boys in blue will be better in 07. Played Meigs and Polk close in 06. Meigs on great streak against Central. Good coaching and players that believe in their system. Can not underestimate whoever replaces Roberts at QB but do you really replace the Mobrient kid at middle line-backer. Needs to be a packed house in Decatur. Should be areas TV game of the week.

Butch & Sundance
This will be the year of the CHARGERS ... They will go 8-2 and lose to a non-region team.. They have a lot of key returning players from last years team and adding some key players from the baseball team that took last year off to play fall ball. If the rumor is true there is 10 baseball players coming out to wear the Big Blue
