Wavecup
QUOTE(wiredtowin @ Apr 30 2007 - 10:25 PM) 826448719Can someone explain McMinn County being ranked #10? They were soundly beaten by Bearden, 6-0 and Maryville, 6-0 and have no "signature" wins. Undefeated in district but competition within district is marginal at best. Can I hear some amens from the South-Doyle folks? The Kees dropped to Bearden by the same score and BEAT Maryville and are unranked. Help me out here, Din and other folks in the know. They have three ties (Baylor, Farragut, and Knox Catholic)
coachdanger
QUOTE(akula21 @ May 1 2007 - 09:25 PM) 826449463I saw where Carter and Webb were scheduled to play yesterday, 4/30. Anybody know how that one turned out? Carter needed to make up a district game and had to cancel.

fanatic55
QUOTE(turbocab @ May 2 2007 - 09:16 AM) 826449770Was this a Oak Ridge/Farragut situation, or is DB just that much better? Next week district tournament should prove really whats the situation when it matters. It's the first time DB has won a game against Science Hill in the last 4 years so they've definitely gotten better, but science hill really needs to hold it together in the back. Their defence really hasn't been at its best and it's cost them a lot all this season.

Jpab
Most the time I think that these weekly rankings are somewhat legit. This week's rankings are a little crazy. Maybe some people or teams will just get mad about these and hopefully channel that anger into winning and prooving these rankings wrong. Anyways, that's what I think everyone should do. Rankings mean nothing. Play your game and win.

akula21
Bearden - 4 Alcoa - 1 All I can say is wow, that was the best team we had seen this year. Not sure if they backed off or not, we had some chances, but those guys pounced on our mistakes and made us pay. They also missed a few good opportunities, but it was a great game from the standpoint of letting our boys see how they stand up against the best. Now the real season begins. Good luck to the Bulldogs, I can see them getting another run at the AAA Championship. Special thanks to Coach Turner for being a great host and a class act.
