Too bad the Oakland / CC game is at CC. Poor playing field and limited seating. Not a good venue for tourn ball.

But CC has a good team and Oakland needs to be ready to play

It is my understanding that the game will be palyed at Oakland. As far as Coffee County field, it looks great now, the seating is limited however. It was a packed house last night, the bleachers were full and everyone else brought chairs and some of the students even parked behind the field and watched from their truck beds!!! It was a great game and Cookeville had a great year a class act!

The CC playing field is in pretty good shape right now...best it's looked probably ever....the seating is limited however...they will get that fixed eventually but you know how it goes with money.....but it doesn't matter because the game is at Oakland tomorrow at 6:30!

Had some bad info from somewhere as to where the Oakland / CC game was to be played.

No disrespect to CC 's stadium, it is what it is. This day and time with most school systems having money problems, its difficult for athletic programs to improve their facilities.

Should be a good game.

CC is a good place to play! Third baseman may take a couple in the mouth on bad hops but that's baseball on a high school field. Fans at CC are excellent. A drag strip is right outside the park where people rev up their engines and go 70 mph right past the field with the engine wide open. Pickup trucks line the fence. with 16 different tunes playing...what a great atmosphere! Mentally tough kids like Dodd and Burnett will thrive in this hostile environment.
