Most of the time you don't see much of a placekicking game down at the 1A/2A levels; more common to see a good punter. Perry County's placekicker Michael Barnet had an excellent season; he connected on all of his extra points & was very consistent at a 40 yd. range. He plays soccer also & I'm sure he has added strength in the off season & will be a factor.

IF HE CAN CONTINUE AS HE DID LAST YEAR, CORBIN JONES FROM WAVERLY, WHO WAS A MR FOOTBALL FINALIST SHOULD HAVE A GOOD SHOT. HE PUNTED, PLACEKICKED, PLAYED OFFENSE AND DEFENSE.

Humboldt has a kicker in Jon Corey Ford. He was pretty impressive last year while connecting on MOST of his PAT attempts. If he learns to just kick and not think about things, he'd be a candidate for the Mr. Football Kicker award.

Mike Hammons of Polk County High School, 3a. Does all of the pats, field goal, Kickoffs, and punts. In two of the three camps attended this year he hit longest field goals during the camp of 55 and 58 yards. He also had longest kickoff and hangtime of these camps in Tenn.. He will be a kicker/punter to watch.

My vote goes out to Mr Jones from Waverly Central, gotta wish him the best of luck this year. He went to a camp down at LSU this summer.
