I think they did not have enough players or something.

 

 

So this Jeff Co. Squad appears to be pretty good. Why dont they schedule a game with the Bearden Freshman. Bearden is 7-1 with a loss to Catholic 30-28. The loss came when they played their 3rd game in 8 days & no time to prepare for this game. This happened due to a cancelation that was made up. They have beaten:

Carter 36-0

West 34-14

Farragut 21-13

Karns 22-8

Halls 36-30 OT

Fulton 20-14

South Doyle 31-8.....could have been much, much worse.

 

Since these two programs are region opponents someone should get on the horn & talk to these coaches & tell them to play! What do you think Jeff Co.?

Anybody know any news on the Halls frosh and JV teams, obviously by the previous post the frosh lost to Bearden but any news on the rest of their games

Freshmen football should place more emphasis on improving skill than overall record. My question to anyone bragging on this thread is this: Are your players better at their position and in the "O" / "D" scheme than they were at the beginning of the season? I think that gets overlooked too often at this level.

Halls Freshmen are doing pretty good. Since losing to Bearden in OT, they have beaten Clinton (28-16) and Powell (44-21). They are now 6 - 1. They have Lenoir City on Monday and end with a game against Catholic.

Hillsboro's Freshman beat Maplewood and improved to 7-0 on the season. They will play Hunters Lane for the Nashville City Championship next week.

The Beech High School Freshmen team ended their season with an impressive win over White House. The win brought their final record to 7 - 1, with the loss, a first game two point loss, to a tough Hendersonville squad. This group of young men accomplished what freshman football is all about. Learning the offensive and defensive schemes of the varsity and getting better as the season went along and playing their best football at the end of the year. Combined with last year's team, it looks as though Beech football has the potential for a bright future.
