Cannon had every chance in the world to win this game, but they just didn't make smart decisions at the end. However that was a big statement that they are no longer just a push-over team in this region

 

 

 

Westmoreland did give Cannon several chances to win. Neither team is real impressive at this point but it was a great game to watch. With the injuries that Westmoreland received and the chances that they gave Cannon, Cannon should have won the game. They are much improved, but I think clock managment at the end was the deciding factor. Great effort by both teams, but it looks like they both have a ways to go to compete with York and Carthage.

Hey Stampus and Singer.....sounds like a hard fought battle and a good win for ya'll tonight. I remember something about York never beating MOland. I here to tell you...the MOUNTAIN MEN are the real deal this year. Beat us in every aspect of the game. We helped them some but no excusses. Sounds like CC is trying to make some noise too. You got any reciepes you can share? I trying a little crockpot crow myself. Thought I would try a little something different. (Never developed much of taste for the stuff). Might wash it down with a little MOUNTAIN Dew. /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":lol:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> Anyway........cann't win em all. (unless your Maryville)

 

Does York still run that, hand the ball straight up the middle stuff every play? I like our chances against that if they do. We are still just trying to hang tuff with our young team. Cannon will give you all they got every play. Thats for sure.

It's a "compact" version of the wing t. I don't think the backs and line could get any closer.They hand it off every direction. Funny you should say that....I liked our chances too. They are good team. Not much size(compared to us) but are quick.Don't throw the ball much...but at the right time with a wheel route or 2.Defense is good. Slant-filling the gap. We had our chances...but no excuses. They made the plays...we didn't.

We will try to ruin MCs Homecoming before worrying about anybody else................ Hope their kids like to slow dance....there may be some slow, sad songs played at the HC dance
