Mountain Mafia.....Help me out....Word on the Street is that there was am IMPLOSION last Friday night @ Richland. I heard that a couple of Parents (which shall remain nameless) errupted on Coach Jones after the game beacuse he refused to play their son because of a pouting stint in the locker room at half time. I heard that one of the parents said "my son has a chance at a scholarship and you ruined it" or something to that affect. I was just wandering if that was the case and I knew you be able to get the scoop!!!! Poor Coach Jones!!!!

 

 

 

Well im glad Coach Jones did this!!!! In order to become a legitimate head coach, you must earn respect from your players!!! The parents need to stay out of it... and teach their kids some respect... Coach Jones wants the best for all his players and is not out to get any of them.... But the players must earn respect!!!! bottom line....

Coach Jones couldnt care less what the parents think because after all he isnt there for the parents... He is their for the kids satisfaction... Stay out of the way parents... and the program will be more successful...

I heard that too, But Coach Jones is rolling with the punches, But......... one thing that has been said on all these threads about the coach, he does not play all these little games, you do wrong, you will pay the consequences, and I respect that more than anything. He is not influenced by what the daddy says his son should play. There is still some poison he has not weeded out yet, the few parents that are these psycho head cases have always been head cases and to listen one one of them talk his son should be playing every position on that field, he is the greatest of all, and the coaches are all stupid, they dont know what they are doing ( they are bringing his son down) I really wish this particular group would of stayed in Centerville, not to wish that poison on them, but I bet coach Swenson waas tickled to death when they left.......... He would not have to worry about this nut standing at the fence trying to run the show from the sidelines. If you have been to many Bulldog games over the last year, you should know who I am talking about. He is the biggest problem right now constantly belittling and degrading them, anybody who will listen will hear his story. there are some other nuts in the bowl but I trust Coach Jones will eventually deal with it.

I think you eagle fans have a team you can be proud of. They fought and scrapped all the way to the end. What was up with the itchy trigger finger on the unsportsmanlike calls. Never saww that many without any kinds of fighting or what not. Three of them were for hits during live action.

Yeah there were alot of Personal Fouls calls,on the field the refs told us they would call them or kick us out for any cursing or taunting..I know a few times there were some curses and even a ball thrown at the opponent after the play was over that triggered them,but yes there still were alot of PF's called for normal.

East Hickman had a lot more seniors than I thought. Adamsville only has 4 and two of them were sidelined with injuries. (Both centers). We had to play with a kid who did super under the circumstances. He hadn't played center before and he was worried he'd mess up. My hat goes off to him.

This crew was determined that they were not going to throw a lot of flags on either team cause both sides were holding a lot. Three times right in front of the refs. Must have been too noticable.

 

 

Eagles keep your heads up. You have a gritty and determined bunch of guys. My hat goes off to you guys for playing hard. If you keep in the weight room and start getting more experience you will be a team to rekon with. Good luck in the future and see you folks in A'ville next year.

A burning 18 wheeler had us stuck on the interstate for a while. Nice school, nice facilities. Hang in there and keep

I dont know where you're coming from with that.We had 2 Sr's in the game yesterday.One was the punter and the other plays QB/CB...If you're talking about what you saw at the Home Coming part,we had to use Juniors mostly to escort the cheerleaders,because their arent enough Sr's.

Thanks,utvol2, dont worry we will..this team has so much heart and fight in us and we dont and will not give up,and we are surronded by a very good coaching staff.This team has a very bright future and i cant wait to see the success they will have for the next many years under a great coaching staff,i wish i could be there longer.I never would've thought i would say that about being in HS longer,but once HS Football is gone and HS is over then it comes down to real life with jobs and bills...lol....

I was actually the player that tackled him in the endzone,i apologized to him after..I had no idea i was in the endzone,i was covering up the WR and so him scramble out,i didnt realize where i was...But we talked after and everything was good!

Your not only a good football player but your logic is excellent. That's exactly where I got the info from with the introduction of the Home Coming. He called out 10 of the players as seniors. I'm sorry if I misunderstood. But as I said we only had two seniors. Our quarterback is a freshman and just turned 15. Good luck to all of you in the rest of the season.
