Loretto vs. Lewis co

This week is going to be an old game but loretto seems to have struggled the last couple of years. are the coaches to blame or lack of effort on the players. Panther and mustangs have been competeitve for as long as i remember, and usually play their game up a notch or two whenever they come into hohenwald.. any comments?

wayne co dont play any better teams than lewis co does... i guess wayne co is a cupcake for lewis co 2???

Haven't we already talked about this 1A stuff? A 1A school is a cupcake for the 3rd ranked 2A team in the state. Sorry. It is. Goodpasture is #1 and they've played Ravenwood and BA I believe. Alcoa is #2 and they played Maryville and teams ahead of them in class. Lewis County doesn't have anyone above a 2A team on their schedule and play 2 1A teams. I think it hurts you come playoff time and you have a very good team.

Hey...what is this rumor about a Lewis Co. shooting at his players or around his players with a gun? This seems to be the topic around here in MP.... something about a coach shooting a gun in the air around the football players... anything to this .....

Yep. You can't question the region schedule. I'm surprised a 1A fan would say anything about a cupcake non conference schedule.

naw it waznt around football players sm people tried 2 roll his yard.. people r making it bigger deal than wat it really is.. hes a great coach and didnt mean any harm..waznt that big of a deal

Well folks there seems to be another so called "problem" with the Lewis County program. A coach was supposedly firing a gun at some kids at around 1 in the morning, they were not players, while they were rolling his yard. To my knowledge the coach has been paintballed, rolled, and maybe even egged in the few years he has been here. These occurances have happend several times, this isn't the first incident. While he was in his house, the kids started to vandalize his home and yard and were making there way to the trees in the back. From my understanding the first shot was a warning in the air. I would never expect the man to ever AIM at any of the kids, no one in their right mind would do such a thing, exspecially a coach of his standing. I do not know any of the details or any knowledge of what happend that night, nor do I want a first hand account of what went on. This is a bad situation for the people in general at Lewis County. Either way, when you hear this, take into context that there are a few people who dislike the coach. I am not one of them. I respect him and wish him the best of luck with the handling of this situation.

 

As for the game,

 

Loretto has been a rival of the Panthers since I can remember, there were many games where the team that should have won, has lost. This is always a hard fought game on both sides. There has always been a lot of talk before, during , and after each game. I think that the game should be taken more seriously since it is only a few weeks before the Hickman County game. I think that the coaches will definately not overlook the Mustangs in any way.

 

Just look at what Stanford did to USC, even though this is High School football, I am a firm believer that anything can happen in a game.

 

I would like to wish both teams good luck and that this is an injury free ball game.
