I was informed that Lee did noy want their field damaged.

 

 

True. Lee has a match there on Tuesday, which is why they had to play on Monday. Due to the weather, Lee is concerned that the field will get torn up. Cleveland had no plan B as they were counting on Lee. They went searching for a field, found none for Monday, but did secure Soddy's field (where the other region match is taking place) for Tuesday at 5.

I guess we will get to see who's girls are better in the mud.

 

100% chance of rain, with light to heavy showers 10/23/2007 2AM - 11PM according to weatherunderground.com

 

Soddy doesn't have a terrible field or anything but it doesn't drain very well.

 

1. I hope they can safely get the game in.

2. I hope the conditions don't contribute to any injuries

3. I hope there is a great game between two highly skilled and competitive teams.

Just got a call from the field.... UNDERWATER. Owltracker Soddy's field does drain well except for hill bleacher side of the field and a small area in front of Soddy's bench. I should know I've mowed it, over seeded it, painted it, and anything else you can do to a field. Its been pouring buckets for the last 2 hours there. No field can stand up to that.

 

It's going to be Mud bowl 2007

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
