This is a tough week. There are two or three games that could go either way. Here are my picks:

Forrest /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

McEwen /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

Eagleville /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

This is a tough week. There are two or three games that could go either way. Here are my picks:

White House Heritage - looking VERY strong now. can't wait til next week :]]]]

Forrest - Community is a first year program and this game will be handled by Forrest.

McEwen - in the driver's seat for the 4th playoff spot and won't lose it again like last year.

Eagleville - I LOVE my eagles!!! their explosive offense will dominate a supposedly improved team in CA...

Jo Byrns - PICK OF THE WEEK: HUGE GAME this week. can't wait to se the score! i think JB will avenge their loss to WHH last week and take down cascade. check out their seperate thread to see my full analysis lol.

Eagleville....Explosive Offense? How many games has Eagleville won this year?

Eagleville's Offense averages 12.63 pts game

Defense averages giving up 27.88 pts game

Clarksville Academy Offense averages 15.13 pts game

Defense averages giving up 23.75 pts game

How in Horse's hind end is Eagleville's Offense "explosive"?

What would that make Clarksville Academy's offense? Dynamite? what?

Not saying Eagleville won't win but to say a One win team after 8 games is explosive is mind boggling. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

Well, I've got a little more time to elaborate today. The upset by WHH really shifted the playoff picture around. Even though McEwen has played their rear-ends off to win two consective overtime games, it looks like they will still have to beat Jo Byrns to make the playoffs. Right now, McEwen holds the fourth place spot with only two region losses. Should they pick up a third loss, they would lose the playoff tie-breaker to Forrest because of head to head action. If Cascade is able to beat Jo Byrns Friday night, they would be assured of no worse than second and the game against WHH the following Friday night would be for the region championship. If Cascade slips up and loses to Jo Byrns Friday night, they would still win the region with a victory over WHH the following week.

I think the region will still end the way it currently is with the exception of McEwen and Forrest trading places. I can't see Jo Byrns losing three weeks in a row if we are able to get them Friday. That means bad news for McEwen. Jo Byrns who is currently third would move up to second place if they were able to beat the Champs Friday night. If they beat us Friday night and we beat WHH the following week then the region championship falls back to J.B. Everyone still has a lot to play for. Going to be interesting the next two weeks.

Bottom line..........take care of business, Champs and we stay in Bedford County until we travel to the Boro for the championship!

Let me ask you this then, if Cascade beats Jo Byrns but lose to WHH, what happens? And if Cascade lose to both WHH & Jo Byrns what happens? I'm just wondering, I'm not making any predictions.

If Cascade beats Jo Byrns, and loses to WHH then WHH would win the region. If Cascade loses to both teams, they would drop to third place.

    • Hmmmmm……doe dee doe doe….i drove the lawnmower down to practice today…….hmmmm…… we got some new faces………. One can run faster than my lawnmower in fifth gear…… a few will be disappointed come November that they jumped ship and went down to that sewage facility……. You can bet the lawnmower on that.
    • I don't know what's going on in the town of McMinnville, but I've read this and it's disturbing.  I'm a "player" person, and I want what's best for the player. If a player gets cut off the team because she said the "F word" then good grief. I mean, come on guys. I wish there was a way for the player to transfer to a different program and just play ball. There are a lot of athletes that are stuck because they're in crappy situations regarding their team/coach. This is player just happens to be one them.
    • Won't happen. College coaches will back the coach every time and it cost this young lady her senior season. Looks like the player may be right on this one. School let her  go after one season. This stuff happens more than you think.
    • “No college is going to offer a scholarship to a player that is kicked off of the team.” For language? I’m not seeing that as a dealbreaker.
    • Why did the coach get rehired after she was let go as an assistant by the former Warren County coach and the current AD?? Is that accurate?? I am very familiar with situations like this. Suprised lawsuits haven't happend before. If the coach unfairly let the player go, I think she has a shot because it cost her a scholarship. No college is going to offer a scholarship to a player that is kicked off of the team. Not going to happen. There are bad hires like this a bunch and kids are treated unfairly by coaches that can't coach a lick and have super long ropes somehow. Amazing how some of these coaches get hired and keep their job.
