Bruceton vs Greenfield

The field conditions were pretty good, there were a couple turnovers by each team. The Greenfield team did a good job of slowing down Jordan, I am happy my Tigers got the win . The Tigers defense though played much better than they have the previous couple of games, that I was glad to see. I can only remb Greenfield getting to the 20 yard line once in the game, there touchdown came very late in the game with a double handoff pass that caught the tigers off guard.

both defenses played very well last nite in bruceton. greenfield drove inside the 20 on the very first drive, but could not get it into the end zone. we also had the ball inside the 20 a couple of other times after turnovers, but could not get it into the end zone. bruceton got one of thier scores off of a turnover from us. and, greenfield had a chance at the end, but could not get the onside kick....then, we could not stop jordan running the ball....ran the time out.

next year, watch out for greenfield. we only lose 4 seniors. chase mcmullen and daniel ricketts will be back for their senior years. and, we have a lot of big, sophomore linemen.

I think the Jackson Sun had him with 41 carries - 231 yards. If the stats are correct in the paper, that put him over 2,000.

It might be a good idea to find someone who can kick x-points and FG's during the off-season....

    • there will be a couple of teams, that could make some noise
    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
