Its CHS vs. CCHS, so does that equal C-C-CHS?

We all know the story last year, Centennial comes in at 0-8, dominates all game before blowing a 13 point lead with 2 minutes left, and then holds on in OT to get their first and only win of the year. Before the game, then wide-receiver Drew Kelly said winning the game would be like winning the super bowl.

While the desperation isnt that drastic this year, the Cougars would still like a big win here. After playing solid football texplosive he first half of the season, the Cougars (3-5, 1-4) have tailed off as of late. The once offense has been held to 150 or less yards in the last 2 games.

Columbia (3-5, 1-4) comes in after giving up 40+ points in 2 of their last 3 games, and were recently seen on ESPN for the wrong reasons. Led by QB Ryan Tilghman and WRs Bryant Belew and Demario Williams, the Lions are one of the few teams that are carrying themselves through the air this season, averaging nearly 30 attempts per game.

Last year, Centennial picked off Columbia 4 times (3 by Allante McLemore). Can that same secondary cause enough problems to get Centennial the W this week?

Columbia has not done well lately in region competition. Lucky for them Centennial does not provide the normal region competition. Should be a good game. I give the nod to the home team.

maybe - this one is a toss up - Centennial will need to play mistake free again - move the ball and stop the ###### run!!! if all that happens then Centennial will win - Columbia, as I said earlier, is hard to beat at their place - they played Franklin a good game even though the score indicated otherwise - we'll see...

yeah, the fumble by Coffee allowed them to tie the score - they missed the extra point which put us into OT- we scored and held them - Kemp played well that game if I remember right ??? - Hold on to the ball, move the ball, stop the run and we'll win for sure!

The good news for CHS is Columbia does not have a strong running team. While they have exploded for some good performances on the ground, their weapon of choice is their passing game. The Centennial secondary dominated these guys last year, and they shut down Brentwood for no receptions last week. I like the defensive matchup here.

one more thing - it "tailed" off due to competition!

The extra point was actually blocked by Clarence Hardison. Tony Kemp came in late, his first action of the season as a RB, and had alot of good runs. He also came in a couple of times in the Franklin game.

One reason.
