I hope you are correct, then maybe GP will go 3A as well I thought that the rule is if a schools actual numbers before the multiplier was 1A then they could play passed 2A after the Multiplier.

No actually the rules states that the multiplier can't make a school jump more than one classification per re-classification period.....since USJ is already 2A they will make the 3A jump if they have the numbers.

Well, I guess now we will have to cancel our plans of offering JCM a two year deal for our homecoming games. /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

Hey they put new bleachers in this year just so Bulldog fans would have a nice place to sit. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

If Trousdale and Friendship move up that will open the doors a little more for young teams in that region like Monterey or Watertown. Hmmm... but that means less competition for South Pittsburg. I hope they don't move up. I like the playoffs with Region 3 and 4 battling it out the past couple of years. I think SP is barely 300 so they will never move up.

Sequatchie will likely be moving to 3A (675 right now). Chattanooga Christian might start out in 2A so they'd be replacing them. I'm guessing Polk, Tellico Plains and Meigs will continue to play 3A despite having 2A enrollment. Not sure where the Signal Mountain and East Brainerd schools in Hamilton County will start.

Can you explain the 1.8 rule for private schools?

Use the enrollment numbers on the classification cut off date. Multiply that by 1.8 and that resulting number is what is used in the total enrollment list.

Divide the total enrollment list by 5 for football, by 3 for basketball etc. and you have the new classes. /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
