they should be dominant-they have the cream of the crop. private vs public.

Now thats an original thought.

It has nothing to do with private vs. public. Montgomery Central hasn't been able to play with anyone for a couple of years. They have been blown out by the Publics. There is a good chance that they will lose tonight but it won't be as bad as some of the losses they have suffered against the other Region 5 3A teams. You probably need to spend some more time in the Lipscomb threads and learn more about the Mustang program. When your coach has been there for 26 years and your assistants have been in place for 15 or more years and when your team committs to a year round program of lifting and weight conditioning and when you can get your feeder school (program) to run your offensive and defensive calls and when your seniors have been in the same overall program for 6 years, then it might be a case of public vs. privates otherwise your comment could be considered by some as shallow. I would wager you that most all teams who play Lipscomb have football budgets including Montgomery Central that are twice the size of Lipscomb.

I encourage you to spend some time on The Mustangfanpage perhaps it will help you become enlightened.

"They lost alot of linemen off last years team and do not have a large group of linemen in their jr and soph classes. Give Cannon, Hunt, Lehmer and their senior linemen credit for playing tough and showing great leadership."

Cannon, Hunt and Lehmer are doing a great job as seniors, but the anchor of the O-line is junior center Hudson. He's a stud blocker, doesn't make mistakes and could (and does occasionally) start on defense if they needed him to. And, no, he's not my son. DL has some young beef coming up on the line. But, huge or not, Coach Mac and his staff stress technique so that they continue to reload the line year after year.

Absolutely agree about the play of the named seniors and that junior Hudson is really showing well this year. The sophomore class has 4 players over 220 lbs, with 2 going over 230 lbs. They'll be fine and will acquire skills and add strength and weight.
