Potential Bowl Game Cornersville vs. Forrest

I know both of these two marshall co. teams are bowl eligible and dont get to play anymore in the regular season like years past. These two teams have been county rivals for a LONG time and i would love to see this be a possible bowl meeting.. anybody think theres a chance of this happening??

And think about the ticket sale $$... this game would put SEVERAL butts in seats...could be the most people at a game in marshall we've seen in a while...but oh boy could that also make some $$$

I think it would be a great idea if the Rockets coaching staff will do it im sure corntowns coaches will be up to it. It would be a great game and may be the last time they can play each other besides preseason before they go to 2A.Maybe the rockets wont be afraid to play a good cornersville team

Well traditionally in the past Forrest won most of the meetings...and now Cornersville has a pretty good team and record, but I would hope that if this opportunity did arise then Forrest would take it

Ya'll might ought to worry about this weeks game, because Huntland always beats corn-town! Like I said before who have ya'll beat? combined record of 7-38 wow!

I'd love to see Forrest play either, just to have an old DRVC game.

I'd probably lean towards a C'ville match-up, but I don't really know how big a rivalry FHS & CHS really had/have. We're in the same county, but it seems the teams that Chapel Hill looks at as its rivals have been other schools like - depending on the sport - Eagleville, Unionville, Moore Co, and now Cascade.

Regardless, its a shame we don't play each other every year. Huntland too.

So strange I come on here and see this post and just this morning we at the station was talking about the very same thing. Got some calls in to TSSAA and schools and will keep you updated on what the outcome is. Wonder if Forrest can find that trophy WAXO used to give to the winner of "The Battle of North and South"?

But they are not sure who their oppenent will be for sure yet, so lets see if Forrest can't try to get in the same bowl.

Which bowl - in which city- vs. who - sounds like a lot of if's?????????- I remember a darn good 7-3 Huntland team that didnt get a bowl a few years back ...what a shame
