if im not mistaken he is back his name was in the sports section... it said that antioch was down 18-6 early in the match then it got tied 24 and rhodes wrestled up to hwy and pinned hendersonville in 2:22... i think antioch got 6th though over all which is really good for antioch

 

 

 

 

well then, i guess he is.. he should just wrestle heavyweight.. lol.. and congrats to all of region 7.. great showing..

i talked to one of the antioch wrestlers and they said he weighed in at 202 pounds

 

 

 

 

 

 

ohh. well, i guess thats out of the question..

 

 

soo, i wanna know who has a chance to place in state this year, and possibly win it from region 7..

 

 

i think lillard and lett have a pretty fair chance, as well as mintlow.

 

 

im just brewing up the pot.. lets hear some more

103- Chris Soboun, possibly Ridley-he's pretty impressive

112-Frankie Nuffio (handily defeated Ovt's Hancock at duals)

119-Lillard, Rucker, Aguilar

135-Lett, Osaitile, Steiner

140-Garrett, Chandler

145-Mintlow

215-Pegram

These are probably the best chances, though depending on the brackets, anything is possible.

that sounds about right.. i like all these guys as far as state comes...

 

135 is stacked.. region 7 could possibly have the deepest 135 pd weight class in the state..

That's true, but there is a big difference b/w our 135's and the top guys in the state. Osaitile wrestled Graham of Bradley last weekend and was pinned in the 1st pd.

Congrats to Antioch and East Lit. Antioch one win from placing is impressive. East Lit. 3rd place finish is huge (bigger than last year) because nobody outside of Nashville gave them a chance.

 

After everyone finishes beating each other up this weekend. Maybe Region 7's top individuals can go to Chattanooga and really make some noise.

I would say that Lett is good, but his road to the state is going to be hard. He won't be the top seed at 135 b/c Osaitile is the returning region champ. So that means that he will probably face Steiner in the semis. Good luck. And that's what I have to say about that.

I think Cliff Lett would do better againse David Grahm; not because Cliff is a better wrestler, but because his style of wrestling. Scott Osatille will give Cliff a very tough match and will win if one or two thing are not corrected from last year. Everything will be settled Saturday.

ohh. wow.. i didnt know that.. im pretty sure lett and him will have a good match if lett gets past steiner.. and i heard yahya from mcgavock might be coming back.. watch out now

      Im asking everyone to keep roy whited and his family in your prayers. Coach whited won back to back state championships at white county in 98-99. He is very well liked and respected in this area. For those of you that dont know he went missing 3 days ago. No one knows where he is. His truck was found in a rural part of the county. Thanks again. We are all very concerned.

      I say that because he stepped out of a MUCH better situation on his own than he would see at least his first 3 years at DCA and it would take at least that much to bring him back to coaching. There are other fish in the sea, but again money talks. Need to fix the girls hoops too. Now I'll try again. Who has Pierce locked in for his staff? Hearing a McGavock man but not the Iceman.

      I’ve heard mostly good things from the gridiron. Lots of optimism. It sounds like the portal has mostly helped, though there are a few expected defections. Comeback year!

      Rudesell 1 year at Crockett. Coach Tate 2 weeks a Bradford. South Gibson supposedly going with jcs middle school coach. Which isn’t who I thought would get it, I know the top 2 was between him and Obion girls head coach.
