The first round has come and gone, which means it is time for the first standings to come out to the general public. Now before we give the results, we must first tell how many contestants will be eliminated this week. This year we had a total of 25 contestants. That means 5 contestants will be booted off after this week.

 

First off, the Board of Directors would like to congratulate divepix for being the only contestant to correctly pick all 16 first round games correctly. Air high 5 to you!!! This week's most incorrectly picked game was the Westview-Peabody contest. Now let's get to the results. No tiebreakers were used this week. Those scoring 28 or above, meaning picking 14 games or more correctly are safe. Those picking 13 correctly or below will be banished off the luxurious island. The Board of Directors has spoken and these 5 contestants are congratulated on giving it the old college try but coming up too short.

Much like the Z plan of the TSSAA, the new format for this year's contest may cause some disagreement from the general public. However, the Board of Directors feel contestants need to make picks every week that will give them the opportunity to win. You must show up all 5 weeks to take home the crown. Next week 4 more contestants will be given the boot.
