  1. Ok, so what happend here. I thought it would be a much closer game. I know Westview is young and banged up, but this was a masacre. Can someone give insight?
  2. Yes, his first name is Justin.

OTB for West and Middle TN will be out around Aug. 15.
  4. Where is Shorter Junior College? And what is Sain's first name?
  5. I sympathize with your argument on FB and BB, but don't you think your domination in practically every spring sport balances the grand scheme? Some of the public schools you play probably have an opinion or two on why they have little chance of winning against you in those sports.

    Easter Slam

Anyone have a schedule on this?
  7. I think we can add Jarvis Varnado to the list. He graduated a couple years ago from Haywood. He is averaging 9 BLOCKS a game...they have nick named him Swat. He's really starting to come on for MS State.
  8. You are exactly right, but there are a lot more than that...and Milan has been doing it for well over the last 20 years...try 25+. Two HUGE names you left off of your list would be John Fisher and Earnest fields...co-captians of the mighty UT Vols after graduating from Milan. Not to mention Fields went on to play Arena ball. I grew up watching George and graduated with Victor and Kelton, but they were just carrying on a longstanding tradition by that time. No...Milan has no need to recruit.Oh yeah, and I predict Milan 13 Peabody 7
  9. Knowing all my picks for round three will pay off....AEOTB picks 35 as the total points for York-VS-DCA!
  10. Amen to that...looking forward to seeing the Eagles for years to come
  11. Good question...come on stang fans...we miss ya /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />
  12. So how many fans do we expect to attend the 'ole dog and pony show? It will be @ Milan, right?
  13. Agreed, but you left out alumni, media and just good 'ole sports fans!
  14. Camden, your program is really heading in the right direction...and not just for this season. Do us a favor and knock off Goodpasture! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  15. Sorry to correct you here youngster, but Union City isn't that far removed from playing in 2A. In 2000 they were the Class 2A runners up. They have some serious history and are a respectable program. (not to mention their 1A championship appearance in 2005). They don't have the resume that Milan does, but they haven't forgotten what 2A was like just yet. Just concentrate on staying the big dog by rolling on deep in the playoffs.
  16. I could see this as a possiblity...this would be my second choice picks for the championship scenario
  17. Correct me if I am wrong, but was the JCS game not the first game that Milan finally had ALL of their starters on the field (including QB). (maybe only the second game) I think they had really just gotten started at that point as they had to start over learning to jell as a team and work the new system. I personally think this game will be much different from the first. Milan now has everybody heathly and working well together...also they have more playoff experience, and know how to win big games. I'm not saying JCS can't win as they have had an impressive entrance into 2A, but I don't think they will have as much control as they did in the first matchup.
  18. 1st Round Alcoa CAK Cumb. Gap Gat. Pitt. York Smith Co. Tyner DCA Lewis Co. Hickman Co. Goodpasture (77 total points) Camden Milan Huntingdon Westview Carver Round 2 Alcoa Gat. Pitt. Smith Co. DCA Lewis Co. Goodpasture Milan Westview Quarterfinals Alcoa DCA Goodpasture Milan Semifinals Alcoa Milan State Championship Alcoa 35 Milan 14 *but I will route for Milan to win! /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />
  19. If history has any bearing on a game as big as this one...here's what I think. If the Dawgs get an early lead in the first half, they will let Westview whittle it away in the second. If Westview gets the first points on the board, the Dawgs will answer. It will be close either way. It will either be Westview 21 Milan 14 OR Milan 14 Westview 7 It all depends on who's night it is. The slight edge is with Westview considering their season and being on home turf, but I'll be rooting for the dawgs!
  20. As much as I hate to say this, you might consider looking at Notre Dame. They are well-known for both academics and athletics. There are a few other schools out there that have great academics and athletics, but I would lean toward the more academic schools with that good of an ACT score. Why not get the best education possible? Come to think of it, Vandy would be an excellent option if he wants to stay closer to home.
  21. If you were going to go with a recruiting company, what would you want them to do for you? Would it be worth investing a little money to save time and energy?
