Oh yes, come on now, station camp actually beating PEARL COHN in the PLAYOFFS? Dude, you know how much them boys at that pearl cohn school want that state championship...They would die for it, and they aint gonna let no BISON Take it from them. I hope they strategize and come up with a way to score rather than kicking a field goal and getting your team, fans, parents of the players, and the coaches embarrassed.

you never know, a very high pressure situation could lead to the unexpected. I don't doubt the Firebirds desire for a Gold Ball, I'm sure almost every other team has a similiar passion for it.

Even after this game, the team that wins still has a tough order in front of them, having to play the winner of GB/WH, and then playing whatever team comes out of region 2-3a. And if that's not enough, still having to play the team from the west, which I'm guessing will be David Lipscomb.

Yall need to quit being so cocky but its going be a good game but in our eyes this is our year! PCH "DONT PLAY WIT IT" What u said!

I'm sorry, but it is obvious that it's not all of us SC fans that are being cocky. We know it's going to be a tough game. But you all think that you are a definite win, which isn't the case.

We aren't being cocky. you are.

I know as of last week my team is done and eliminated HOWEVER it has to be noted that Pearl Cohn is the team in this series that has the right to be cocky. Last year PC was 6-3 and SC was 9-0 heading into week ten and the region title showdown at Station Camp. The Bison came out and took the game early but in the end in the pouring down rain in the fourth quarter it was Deaunte Mason and Rashad Mason who stole the show and ended the Station Camp bid for perfection 21-16. In the process Randall Toney, who was stopped by NOBODY up to that point in the season, was held to 12 carries for 9 yards on the night. This year the two teams met in week ten again. Pearl Cohn was a 7-2 team that lost to White House & very well could have lost to Greenbrier. Station Camp was the 9-0 team looking again "perfect" after destroying Greenbrier and then beating White House at their own place on "Senior Night". The Firebirds wasted little time in that game as they jumped all over Station Camp and cruised to an easy 20-3 victory.

In those two games the formula has been SIMPLE!!!! I know that many on here give Coach Brunetti & the Pearl Cohn coaching staff little credit for what they've done HOWEVER when it comes to playing Station Camp the truth is that they've got the Bison figured out like no other team does. Coach Hollinsworth will be the first to tell you the same thing. Pearl Cohn has came out and whipped Station Camp up front on both sides of the football in both of those games. The Firebirds have ran the football and made their "big plays" in the passing game & at the same time the Firebirds have slowed down the "Wing-T" like the rest of Region 4-3A has not been able to for the last two years. YOU ARE WHAT YOU ARE PEOPLE!!!!! Station Camp can't just decide this week that they'll suddenly rush for 300 yards on offense against the PC defense like they do against everyone else. They can't just decide that they'll put pressure on Mason and sack him 20 TIMES like some may be led into believing. IN MY EYES YOU HAVE TO BE ABLE TO PROVE IT BEFORE YOU CAN TALK IT!!!!! Pearl Cohn has done this against Station Camp and until I see otherwise I am going to believe that it will happen AGAIN!!!!

It's not all talent either as Station Camp does have a 4A sized Class 3A school and plenty of athletes to choose from. Pearl Cohn is a 2A sized Class 3A school when you look at the enrollment. That's a losing argument for anyone who wants to go down that road with me.

I think those boys over there at Station Camp might want that Gold Ball too, but what do I know?

Big Country, I congratulate you on your picks of our region, but just as you didn't see Greenbrier upsetting McMinn you won't believe it when the Bison step-up to the challenge against a very talented PC team. I'm not going to knock Pearl's heart, tenacity, or athleticism. I just think, in my mind, that my boys will overcome the last few games vs. PC and win. Go get 'em BISON, One Team, One Dream!!

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
