EASTFAN
I am sure Coach Hatcher would give M-Knight a chance at fullback next year. He can still play both ways some. They had a good FB this year, Maybe M-Knight could be it next year. As long as a player can complete for a postion, is all any parent can ask. May the best player win the job. We want players that want too be canes. If he is that unhappy, he needs to move on. No-one said life was fair. I hope he is still here next year, but we our a team. It is not about one player.Go Canes!

John B
Ditto. We not Me. DK would need to change his running style as he runs too straight up. That is a no-no as this invites a hard lick from the linebacker when he hits a hole carrying the ball. On the other hand, he might make a good fullback if he is a fast learner and can lead some blocking when needed. It is the other running backs that need to handle the ball with both hand because they are going through small holes and the linemen are grabbing at the ball. I still wonder what happened to Taylor after making 42 yards on his 3 carries after the first kick off. I did not see that play again . East was ahead 21-20 at the 8 minute mark in the 3rd quarter when the wheels came off. The pressure was more than East could handle and the fumbles and the interception cooked their goose. South did not panic and Curt just handed the ball to his halfback and let him run it in. East did not make any adjustments so slow their running down in the last quarter. I did not see that play again . I talked to him at around 12:00 after the game and he was healthy so I know it was not due to injury. I like Nick alot. He is a fine young man and I am proud of the growing up he has done in the last few years. I'm gonna miss him. The marine corp. is getting a good one. TrojanOT50
Can he practice when ever he wants? i failed to have read that about the kid. no, woods would chew his butt until it looks like hamburger meat, and then kick him off. someone needs to wake him up if he is a talent. shame to let it go to waste. canefan72
The Canes got a transfer from Sevier Co. I think the kids name is Tyler Thomas. From what I gather, he is a RB and can flat out burn. He is going to class at east and working out with the team.
canefan72
Tyler Thomas is DK's half brother so it looks like the rumors of DK leaving are just rumors. The team has set up a spring scrimmage but I am not 100% sure who(maybe Campbell co.) and I am not sure of the dates for spring practice. Should be an interesting spring setting the lineup for the fall.
