Good to hear. R.C. is always a solid 4A team. This will be a tough test. I have always thought it is better to play good teams and see the areas you need to improve in, as to play weak teams and not get a good look. This will be good for the player and coaches. Looking forward to seeing it. I hope everybody is in the wieght room because the Golden Eagles will be better than anybody on your schedule. In fact, you better hope most of RC players are running track or playing baseball. You will know for sure if any real progress is being made in Madisionville.

I agree. R.C. will more than likely be better than anyone on our schedule. I do hope that they have all thier players with them. It's a scrimmage, thats the time you want to see where you are at. That only happens if you scrimmage good teams. The only thing that happens if you scrimmage bad teams is you get a false sense of confidence, and that will go out the window as soon as you take the field against a good team.

Where is the scrimmaged going to played? Evensville or Madisionville It will make a difference. These guys are big, bad and play a very physical style on defense. Good test but maybe wishful thinking on the coaching staff's part. Are they ready to take on a quality 4A opponent? Maybe getting ready for the move to 4A in 2009.

It felt good today to get out and run into some folks and talk some football, everyone is ready, from Madisonville to Vonore, spirits are high, the young men are working hard and folks are noticing. Cannot wait to see our offensive line and how they do against Rhea County, and lets see who wants it the most, the up and coming seniors or will the underclassmwen suprise some people. How will the defense do, do we go big on the defensive line or do we go with speed, anticipation is killing me. Really excited about the up and coming year in the Sequoyah Conference, expecting so many more kids to come out and learn. Yeah I know its baseball seaon but I am so ready for some football! GO CHIEFS!! Would love to hear from everyone else!!
