CycloneFan
AE by a dozen, or more. I admire SG for scheduling this game; no better early season test to see where you stand in Region 1-2.

coachh17
Beating Austin-East certainly gets my attention. South Greene may be all the way back.
greenevillefan
Not real sure about that yet, they did het beat by Cherokee last night!!
coachh17
That certainly confuses the issue. Is Cherokee that improved? Is Austin-East at full strength? It will sort itself out as the season progresses.
buggin10
Not real sure about that yet, they did het beat by Cherokee last night!! South Greene had over 30 turnovers and it didn't help that the point guard for SG only played maybe 5 minutes of the first half because of foul trouble. TdTbb
No, SG did not motivate them. They have now lost two games. Maryville before them. Both teams good but AE has lost their interest. I watched them this summer. They were good at the beginning of spring but by the time the summer was over...they just did not care. They are the best AA team in the east, no doubt, but they do not want to play. And if the drive is not there they will continue this path. Basketball is about talent, desire and motivation. AE is the most talented and they had motivation and desire last season, especially at the end of the year...they need to find it again. If thats the best AA in the East then this may be SG's year to go back......
CycloneFan
Hey buggin, you sure have gained alot of knowledge about SG since you were the same poster that was asking on here a few weeks ago what kind of team South Greene has? October 25,2007 buggin10 wrote: "Anybody know how South Greene will look this season" South Greene will still have to go through Elizabethton and Unicoi, and the best that D2AA has to offer to even think about playing AE again, or Stone Memorial or Loudon............. Chickens don't hatch in November; they hatch in late february and early march..........
