Dyer County vs. Liberty (11/16/2007)

They wanted an opportunity to play Basketball. Many of these players, including Justin Blake simply wanted opportunity. He played dual sports at the time and the coach had a problem with it. About Vic, that was just another rumor.

 

Blake was not playing dual sports. He had already quit playing football when he chose not to attend pre-season team camp with the DHS football team that year.

Let the truth come out. DC had at least two people escorted out of the gym. One male with the last name Cooper, the other was Markina Parchman. Ms. Parchman plays for the girls team and played the following night. I would like a good explanation of how a member of the Dyer Co. Girls team gets thrown out of the gym and plays the next night. We can say what we want but I think we can see where there is no structure and discipline. I need to know how this happens. Please make it a short reply I work and don't have time to read a two page reply.

 

Is she the girl that quit at Dyersburg and transferred to DC because she did not like the coach at Dyersburg.

This game was a joke. I have heard several people telling me about this game. The ridiculous calls that were going on. Deangelo Parr getting under cut in the air with no foul called. Rex pierce getting elbowed in the chest with a foul called against DC. A liberty player telling Coach McCord to "stfu". That's very uncalled for. The game film is being sent to TSSAA for further official review. Can't beat us so have to cheat us.

 

Is this the same Rex Pierce that starred for Dyersburg Middle in 04-05 and since then has been to DHS and then DCHS and then the alternative school and then DHS again and now is at DCHS again, all in less than 2 1/2 years?

I haven`t seen Liberty this year, but with all new starters, even though they have prior playing time, it`s tough to beat experience. DC has the quickest hands on "D" I`ve seen in a long time. Lexington is no slouch. Besides the opening tip, which DC stole without them geting off a shot, DC scored 8 pts. before Lex. ever got the ball to the top of the key. They do need a little more control going to the bucket on offence. Too many "O" fouls. Should be a great one. Anyone know which radio station will carry the broadcast?

to let you know marquena to be right her named is spelled like that she had to run for her disicpline for acting crazy the the night before i do admit she was wrong for it but she got her disicpine by running and she still came the next day and her the squad killed them 71-41 i know coach poindex feels pretty bad

Well since the person got thrown out i would assume she was not playing since it's a boys game. That would make her just a spectator that couldn't handle watching our team be cheated because Liberty is a bunch of crying babies that can't stand to lose. Maybe we don't punish kids for standing up for our school. Maybe we do. Either way i didn't hear anything about her getting kicked out. But if the refs had to help Liberty get by with this win they will NOT win another state championship.

to put a spin on blake quitting dhs football because he missed fall camp to play aau bb.......hunter hart missed camp to play baseball for the memphis toigers travel team and that was alright. same old double standard that made the dyersburg kids choose to go to dc in the end.

HAHAHAHAHAaaaaaaaa!!!!!! I wish I had've could've gotten on this one alot sooner. nebuntyn has an orange jersy he wears when no body is looking!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!! That's good!!!!!

DC got beat by Liberty......that's gotta hurt. It was the great nebuntyn that made that call with about three minutes to go in the game as I recall......"Dyer County is playin' not to lose instead of playin' to win".....Yep that is what he said as DC tried to hold the ball and run the clock out.

The refs did make some bad calls.....the worst was when they didn't sit the DC coach down in his chair when he first started showing us his butt. I payed to see DC and Liberty play basketball....not to see coaches butt constantly yelling and crying at the refs......cutting his eyes up at the crowd to see if anyone was looking. Yeah yeah we saw you coach......how could we miss you. You delayed the game to make sure we all saw you.

You said that you woud not play at Liberty again......maybe we will make do somehow....it will be hard, life with no DC at Liberty will be tough.
