Hay Zone that might be nice to see what kind of pressure South Pitt. can take if it turns into a kicking game. With each team having to kick 4 or 5 field goals..................

Seriously doubt that South Pittsburg will choose to kick it 4 or 5 times. I would look for them to go for it every time instead. But that is just me thinking out loud.

I got that feeling that this game is going to come down to a field goal..........

And would like to see Mckenzie kick to winning field goal..............38 to 35

We won't be attempting 4 or 5 field goals. I really doubt we will go the field goal route at all unless the game is on the line. We have converted a lot of 3rd and long and most of the ones on 4th down this year. If we are on McKenzies side of the field it will be 4 down territory for most part

Yep...and if we make a few???

Remember....special teams consist of returning the ball too....

Our kicker for McKenzie learned from the best ...

His brother graduated in '06 ... Now redshirted by the Vandy 'Dores ...

He even kicked off a couple times this year ... If I'm not mistaken so far once against UT and once agaiinst Florida.

The new video on McKenzie's web site shows highlights from the MP game and has Coach Comer talking about the SP game.. Good stuff. Coach Comer is a class act.

Yes he is but so is ya'lls coach ... But I was most impressed with Robinson's interview. Very classy guy ...

Read a couple of posts about him "playing dirty" on defense but he doesn't come off like that ... Very lucky to have a player such as him on the team ...

From the way people talk on here, those young lads from McKenzie and South Pitt are going to blow each other out in this game.

They may need to get two people to run that score board. One for each team due to this two teams blowing each other out in this game. If this is true the score will be up in the hundreds for both teams................................. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

    • Coalfield definitely isn't the same team they've had the past few years. They are still the favorites to make it out of their region because of their pitching. They have 1 arm that sits low to mid 80s and 2 other arms that are mid to high 70s with good off speed stuff. If you can avoid their top 3 bats in their lineup then you have a shot to beat them. Their 4-9 hitters are average at best. Wartburg's ace was able to shut them down last week in the game Wartburg won 4-2.
    • It is the longest season. Plus, 30 games a year. No Christmas break. I would say basketball is the most time consuming.
    • No movement on Chester? South Gibson? Gibson County?
    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
    • What is the hold up here? I have not heard anything in weeks. Are they waiting for the right person or is something else going on?
