The only way FHS has a chance in this game is if they do what Heritage did against us...stall(which is why high school needs a shot clock). Farragut has been known to stall against us when we are clearly more athletic than them and this year we are that way. Who is going to stop Demonte and Blake Jenkins. Blake is taller than FHS's tallest player and he plays the 3! He sometimes guards the PG, who would want a guy with prob. a 6'10 wing span guarding you? I sure as heck wouldn't. I'm hoping for a good game, but I think we'll run them outta the gym. And thank god they can't do football cheers since we now have the bragging rights!

Jenkins has crazy wingspan, but I didn't hear Damron and Click complaining when he was guarding them last night....isn't this the same posters who were making predictions about the Maryville game...I noticed none have gone back on those threads to say they were wrong....why don't we rephrase, Bearden should beat Maryville and Farragut easily.....should be a good one.....

Should be a good game, both teams lost to Maryville by 3 points. Farragut has much better guard play, but Bearden has the advantage inside. If Farragut can get an effective inside-out game going they should be able to come out on top. Farragut can afford to double down on the post, but Farragut has 3 guys that can shoot so Bearden will not be able to double as much. It will be a close game.

Did Maryvile beat farragut and Bearden without Douglas? If so, I am going to have to go out on a limb and say Maryville will repeat in 08.

    • It was not ACHS at all, they have zero reason to worry about Clinton.  It had to do with a kid (non football player)  that had a charge and appeared in front of the juvenile judge.  The judge saw that the kid was way behind credit wise for his grade and told him to reappear in a month with a plan to graduate.  When the kid reappeared he had more that twice the credits than one month before.  The judge called BS and contacted the school.  That is what started the investigation.  This involves multiple students, but to this point no athletes are involved.
    • I believe the Covington Chargers travel to Trenton Peabody for a scrimmage today? Anyone going to this? Curious how the Chargers will do.
    • Good ole Bradley Zulliger. He was a really good QB @ OR. Fun to watch.  Wore #15 and was like a mini Tebow, with the exception of being right handed. He could take a pounding and keep on ticking. Played with a collapsed lung against Powell that year. Tough as nails.
    • They should be pretty good in year two for Rang.  Replacing most of the offensive production losing Dozier, Hayward and Rembert , but they're are skill kids in place ready for their shot.  I know I say this every year, but the o line should show improvement after two years in Rang and Kevin Day's weight program.  I still would favor West over Plow and OR come November.  The Rebs will have to grow up a bunch between now and then, and will probably take some lumps along the way with that schedule.  But I predict come playoff time they will be ready.   One of their coaches half joked to me that they could go 5-5 regular season and win the state championship.  Ha ha.
    • there will be a couple of teams, that could make some noise
