Early season antics ! I hear that Callie is back, but hasn't really settled in yet. Hear good things about the Jones girls & a young (sophomore) point guard. Erin McAllister should be diplayng some Senior leadership also. When Callie hits her stride they should be MORE effective. Like I said before, its a GREAT YEAR TO BE A CHOCTAW !BTW they have an assistant coach ( Beth Ann Pope) that was on that 33 win team. Rest assured she can make a contribution & be of great help to Coach Stafford.I'll be glad to get back South & see for myself the '07 - 08 version of the Lady Choctaws ! Gotta love the "ORANGE" this year !

Based on what I've seen & heard, this group may challenge for 4th in the district..may even split with DHS during the regular season if not sweeping them and that's not happened in at least a couple of years, right? Best advise is one game at a time & continue to improve each time out..it's a long season & others will improve too...best of luck to all...

A long season NO DOUBT ! Consistency & continuous improvement is what every team should be striving for ! Getting used to winning early on can't hurt though ! It seems in most any sport the "one game at a time" theory comes into play and it also seems that it is as important in one sport as another. Playin' 2 - 3 games a week I can see where it becomes easier to look ahead in basketball than football. Just hope that the Lady Chocs can maintain focus on that ONE at a time like you said ! Nothing wrong with others improving as well, makes for a LOT better watchin' ! No room for complacency, there is too much talent in the District for that!

I don't know. remember this is my OPINION. But the way they are winning they should finish first in the district. Not only are they beating teams people, but they are beating them by 20-30 points.

he hates that cast haha

big negative on DC finishin in front of Westview. Couples is a player but past that they don't have a reliable option. Rechis can beat teams by herself if she wants to. I wish the best to the Lady Choctaws but there's not a chance they accomplish that during the REGULAR season. We all know to throw the records out the window when it comes to tourney time so nobody really knows I guess.

yeah i talked to a lot of the girls today.. last year Jessica Jones held Rechis to only 5 points.......... /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />

    • Eagleville couldn’t catch up to Jones, he did have his location issues but in that game Eagleville popped up everything and the one hit they did have could have been ruled an error. Jeffcoat was a lot sharper in the beginning of the season last year than the end. ER ran out of pitching and still was in striking distance but none the less the better team one. Last seasons tournament was A LOT more balanced and talented. South Pitts starter is a Lefty who was low 80’s but couldn’t maintain his velo throughout the  outing, their #2 was more impressive last year, we knocked him around this year and his mph was down some. Their #3 isn’t bad neither, throws a lot of strikes and sits high 70’s.
    • He actually had a really solid spring.  I could see him getting some backup snaps on offense and be a regular on special teams.  Really athletic kid who can run.
    • Heard Seq has gotten a lot stronger this off season. Can’t wait to see how the boys do this year
