Why a "T" instead of a regular foul? Did they hit both free throws and hold the ball to create OT? I was out of town and unable to hear the game.

They hit both free throws got the ball back after the T and luckily missed a shot and we got the rebound.

As I said before the OC/ Gibson County game. He was the one who called the "T" while we were trying to get our players situated and during the substituion to one off the floor. The ref handed the ball to OC while we were doing our sub and no time to get the extra player off the floor. Yes its a "T" but by rule you have to let a player get off the floor or you dont hand the ball for inbounds. Also Barron called that game as well. I have never said he is not good, becuase he is. That game cused a tie with OC and they won the coing toss...we were second and they were first...thats changes an outcome I would say. We did not win the toss as luck would have it. My point is, he should not be calling games of that magnatude and as direct result he affected the outcome of the tournament. OC played better and probably would have won, but once again you have officals who have a vested interest in the outcome of 13AA girls basketball take matters in own hands.

 

Anyway you still have not given me a reason why he should call 13AA games. I given you several why he should not....I'm still waiting????

And Barron did NOT call that game. The reason he is assigned 13 AA is he is one of the best and that is where he is told to go and YOUR coaches must think so also.

What I love about referee talk is the fact that everyone has the opportunity to take the test and wear the black and white stripes. Unless you have refereed before, you are always talked about. The fact is, you can never please both sides. All this chatter about refs makes me sick. I saw the technical foul called against the girl from GC last night. It was justified. All I can say is review the tape. Most of you on here making these crazy statements probably didn't even see it. Most of the people around me didn't even know what happened. I was actually (for once) looking in the right direction. Yes their arms were tangled. But the way and attitude in which the GC girl reacted dictated the Technical foul. Once again, I have heard crappy refereeing for years. How about quietening this down or just take the test and make a difference yourself. Ask yourself one question, has any of your complaints ever changed anything. NOPE. So enough is enough.

It's quite obvious, YOU DON'T CALL A TECHNICAL WITH 20 SECONDS LEFT IN THE GAME especially when it's a 2 point game! Boykins decided that game by his call. Neither team was warned through the whole night and I was sitting right where the technical occurred. I saw it, it was Jennalee and Jana and their arms were tangled and Jennalee jerked her arm out and Boykins through up the T. I saw it, my friend. I could've seen both teams being warned and then the T, but to just up at T someone with 20 seconds left in the game is stupid for a ref. It's done and over with and we lost.

I saw it my friend. I've seen worse happen in basketball and usually a ref with good judgment and not letting his emotions get the best of him, give a warning my man. As far as taking the test and putting on the black and white stripes as you say, your right. The thing most are complaining about was the timeing. In order to be a good official, you have to not let your emotions get the best of you. A warning would have been sufficient since none had been given the whole game. It doesn't matter now, because he gave Gibson County a break. They will have the stongest 4th rated 13AA team going into regional play and are right where they want to be to advance.

You got robbed GC no doubt!!! I saw it and saw official he was not even looking at it he just saw OC players reaction.He callad her flop,just like they do every time OC flops when they set a moving screen.You came out better in the end as OC plays Northside if they win, they get Milan!!!

Kids are taught to be a little dramatic ( i think you called that a flop). I wish ALL you complainers would watch the film on this. I was lucky enough to see the game again on film. Guess what. Rebel fan or not, I would have ejected her from the game. I didn't feel that when I saw it in person. After re-watching the game, she deserved the technical if not more. So until you can view it and view it in a neutral frame of mind, let this crap die.
