Have the All State and All Region teams come out yet? If so tell where to find the listings.

here is All Region 4-5A

Wilks, Gray, Aydelott, Hughes recognized as Region 4-5A's best

Smyrna did not win the Region 4-5A regular-season championship but was the only school to collect more than one of the major awards handed out at the season-ending banquet tonight.

Wide receiver/defensive back/returner Rodriguez Wilks was named the region??™s Most Valuable Player and quarterback Sonny Gray was the Offensive MVP.

???I don??™t think there was any doubt that Rod was the best player in the league, and maybe the state,??? Smyrna coach Philip Shadowens, who did not attend the banquet, said. ???And Sonny ... had a phenomenal year.???

Ron Aydelott, who guided Riverdale to an undefeated regular season, was named Coach of the Year. Siegel??™s Montori Hughes was the Defensive MVP, and Wilson Central kicker Chase Matheson was the Special Teams MVP.

???Our region has such great football,??? Shadowens said. ???It??™s probably the state??™s toughest from top-to-bottom. Every team has a couple great players, and the talent level this year is probably the best I??™ve ever seen it.???

    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
