"WOW" at this point thats all I can say. Need some help from my friend south of the Border on this subject....

Don't know the answer to either question - test or fired. In my opinion, what happened in the past with the coach is irrelevant today. I do know that he will defend his players till his face is as red as his hair. Yes, sometimes to the extreme. But in the 5 years he has been at Central (1) the field has seen major improvements to the extend that area college fields do not match up (2) his players have the best of uniforms and equipment and do not spend a penny of their own money (3) he supports the past players by starting the Diamond Club (4) and the last time I checked his record, alot more wins than losses. With that said, a coach doesn't get a hit, add a run to the scoreboard, or make a great defensive play. When you get beat by Central, it will be by the 18 players in uniforms - regardless of the coaches test results or previous employment.

I think McMinn Central needs to play a little bit of a harder schedule. Before they can start talking themselves up. Come up to K town and get a few lessons..

I agree. The schedule will start getting much tougher next week. But I do think the Chargers can play with any AA school in the state.

I agree.. So let's just play ball. It's all about the kids..

Catholic, Seymour, Gibbs, Anderson County.........UMMMMM NUFF SAID !!!!!!!

Very well put.. Matter of fact Catholic and AC both played last night in Oak Ridge against two AAA teams and won pretty easily..... I think the closest McMinn Central has ever been to Knoxville is to come play Loudon or come up to the Movies...

AAA teams - who were they? Catholic (private school) - our kids from the country love playing against private schools. Anytime, anywhere! Ask the coach of Anderson County about the Chargers. He has been on the receiving end of a few whippings from Central. Didn't know Gibbs had a baseball team. Come watch when we play at Farragut on April 4th.

    • Yeah, but if he goes to Science Hill they are guaranteed at least a win over Kingsport and that's basically the NET Superbowl
    • I expect Sevier County might be pretty good, perhaps Mo West as well.     But I don't see either of them getting out of round 2.          The rest of the region gets smoked in round 1.            Except for those once-in-a-blue-moon anomaly years the NET big schools are pretty much the same every season.
    • Wanted to see if all of you would lift up Kyle James family in prayer. Kyle was one of the best wrestlers to ever come out of Soddy Daisy and as some of you know he lost his house a few weeks ago and now his family and friends mourns his passing. Not sure if any of you were around in early 2000’s when Kyle was wrestling at Soddy, but he was a 3 time state champ and a Fargo AA along with going to Colorado to train to make the Olympic team. That goal was never reached due to medical issues, but he was an amazing wrestler and his family is as good as gold. If you were around at that time and have any pictures of Kyle, please go onto Alexy Winesburgh FB page and post. Thanks, Doug Benton
    • My opinion the 8 teams will be-  Greenback, Wartburg, Gordonsville, Jo Byrns, Eagleville, Bruceton, Dresden, and South Fulton. Gordonsviile is probably the favorite but I wont say it will be an easy road. With the right draw any of the 8 could win it.
    • I understand Gibson Co. will be announced tomorrow with a familiar name. Not sure about So. Gibson.
