Most High School athletes who are serious and passionate about their sport dedicate many hours preparing for their upcoming season . For the baseball guys impeticular , they make alot of personal sacrifices with their time ,especially in the summer to get better . I believe these kids deserve coaches who are just as serious and passionate about their sport . If SH's new coach was scouting at East the other night , it shows me he has alot of dedication to his team and he must love the game . I'd say SH hired thr right man for the job .

I agree with that.

All of a sudden the Indians (freshmen and sophmores) are starting to grow up a little bit and have yet to lose on their beautiful new turf at J. Fred stadium. They are playing with confidence and enthusiasm for the first time this season. Who knows, they might be able to make up some ground in the conference this week and raise their seeding for the tournament which starts next weekend. I tip my hat to these kids who could have folded their tents weeks ago. But instead they hung in there, and now are seeing the fruits of their labor. GREAT JOB!!

Science Hill still controls the district even with the bad weekend in Knoxville. The rest of the Big 9 looks like it is up for grabs.

This could be one of the most interesting (wild) District touraments in the Big 9 in a long time.

While DB seems to be peaking at the right time the rest of the district looks wide open and anybody could make make it to the next round.

Once in the next round it's vs. a k-town team and that looks really tough for anybody up here.

    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
