looking at our schedule , Fayette Academy , Lexington , Rosemark , Rossville and host team Ripley are playing the first there first games of the season @ Ripley Tournament . don`t know anything about Rosemark or Rossville ?anybody know??. Lexington has the potential to be a very good team, along with Ripley . If the weather acts right , this should be a great indicator of where your program is right outta the gate.

If I recall right Ripley lost a bunch of key players last year so I am gonna go off on a limb and say Lexington takes this tourney???

What teams will be in that tournament?

Adamsville, Bolivar, Brighton, Chester Co, Clarksburg, Covington, Crockett Co., Dyersburg, Dyer Co., FACS, Gibson Co., Halls, Hardin Co., Humboldt, Huntingdon, JCS, Liberty, McKenzie, Munford, Northside, TCA, Union City, USJ

A pool with Lexington, Dyer Co or Dyersburg, Hardin Co., and USJ could have been nice.

Lexington will run rule every game in this tournament, with the only exception possibly being Ripley. Very weak competition. they should be playing in the Northside tournament against some real competition.

Chris Messer knows that it's a weak tournament. He is wanting to get better teams to play in the Aaron Schuh Tournament, but the teams he asked to play in it were already scheduled for the Northside tournament. Next year is he going to try to get better teams. He wants the tournament to be a great one and one that is filled with good teams. He wants to get it back to how it used to be with good competition. He is making a change at Ripley and he is trying to do something that hasn't been done in the last few years and that is playing better teams so he can prepare his team for District. I look forward to seeing him coach and seeing what he is doing with this team. I know many people think since Coach Bridges is gone that Chris is not going to do well. I hope he proves everyone worng.

I don't think anyone can deny that Coach Joe Bridges was an excellent coach, and he had the record to prove it, including a state championship. He must have done something right, including getting teams to play in the Schuh tournament in the past. As the saying goes, you are only as good as your competition. I think it is a slap in the other teams' faces to say that the new coach knows it's a weak tournament. Here's wishing each team much good luck in the Schuh tournament. That tournament has a certain amount of prestige surrounding it, and it deserves only the best in honor of the Schuhs.

I understand what you're saying. I know that Coach Bridges was a great coach and yes he does have the record to show it. I am just saying that Coach Messer would like to get teams in the schuh tournament like Bartlet, Briarcrest, some of those good Memphis teams or Huntingdon, or Dyer County. He is just wanting to play the best competition he can to better prepare his team. I did not mean for my last reply to sound like Coach Bridges wasn't a good coach or that he didn't know what he was doing. I respect him as well as Rod and Carolyn Schuh.

    • This whole situation is bonkers. You don’t just kick your star player off the team just because you heard them say the F word; the coach definitely had something against the player, or somebody definitely did. Also, nobody has brought up the idea that the school blackmailed the college to get the college to withdraw the scholarship offer, not to mention that the coach who kicked her off is no longer even with the program; they were fired. I think this is a pretty easy lawsuit. I don’t know if she should deserve that much money, but I think she should get enough money for a full-ride scholarship if she cannot get one after this situation.
    • Oh yeah, I’m sure you are different people just always on the same thread for some reason, always agreeing with each other, perhaps just a bunch of dorks who would like to ###### and moan about high school football coaches do a lot of other students, so you make a football team and get a yell at them. When they do something wrong, but I’m sure you don’t like that, do you?   and I’m sure I’m aware of where you get information. A teacher who was on the coaching staff but was fired after the new coaching and staff came in and realized he actually had to start taking his assistant job a little bit more seriously than just wanting to make a little extra cash on the side, hardly even showing up to most practices, should’ve left with his buddy to go to Farragut. I’m sure he could get him a defensive coaching job, but I doubt he will be there in three years. Looking at the way Farragut is currently going.
    • It may be hard to believe but there’s more people than me that think you guys are a bunch of losers.    I’m sure the coaching staff, yourself included, cursed at a bunch of high school students. Nobody could name more than 3 coaches on staff due to the constant turnover.
    • That's complete BS.  Nobody at ACHS has access to CHS student records unless a transfer is made from CHS to ACHS.
    • Trez's last scandal has died down, so I guess this is there opportunity to be the best 4A team playing in 2A a la Sissy MTN.  At least they won't be in a Z-district with 1a teams in the regular season.
