Just found this on the Tennessean's web site:

 

9-AAA

Thursday: Girls ??” 7 p.m.: Beech at LaVergne; Hendersonville at Smyrna; Gallatin at Mt. Juliet

 

Friday: Boys ??” 7 p.m.: LaVergne at Gallatin; Smyrna at Wilson Central; Hendersonville at Mt. Juliet at LaVergne

 

Saturday: Girls ??” Wilson Central vs. Beech-LaVergne winner, 4 p.m.; Hendersonville-Smyrna winner vs. Gallatin-Mt. Juliet winner, 7 p.m. Boys ??” Beech vs. LaVergne-Gallatin winner, 5:30 p.m.; Smyrna-Wilson Central winner vs. Hendersonville-Mt. Juliet winner, 8:30 p.m.

 

Feb. 23: Girls ??” Consolation, 6:30 p.m.; championship, 8 p.m.

5. David Brainerd

6. 21st Century

 

Friday games:

3 vs. 6 (Winner will play #2 seed Saturday)

4 vs. 5 (Winner will play #1 seed Saturday)

 

Consolation games are on Monday.

 

District 5A Boys seedings:

OK, I think I've posted everything above this point and I'm still missing the following:

 

Boys (everything from these districts):

14AAA, 4AAA, 2AA, 6A, 2A

 

Boys (dates/times/rankings/etc from these districts):

15AAA, 5AA, 4AA, 3AA, 4A, 3A

 

Girls (everything from these districts):

14AAA, 13AAA, 3AA, 2AA, 6A, 3A, 2A

 

Girls (dates/times/rankings/etc from these districts):

15AAA, 4AAA, 5AA, 5A, 4A

Friday:

 

4:00 #4 Claiborne vs #5 Gatlinburg Pittman (Girls)

5:30 #3 Grainger vs #6 Union Co. (Girls)

7:00 #4 G/P vs #5 Cumberland Gap (Boys)

8:30 #3 Claiborne vs #6 Pigeon Forge (Boys)

 

 

Saturday:

 

Claiborne/G-P winner vs #1 Pigeon Forge (Girls)

Grainger/Union Co. winner vs #2 Cumberland Gap (Girls)

Claiborne/Pigeon Forge winner vs #2 Union Co. (Boys)

8:30 G-P/Cumberland Gap winner vs #1 Grainger (Boys)

 

All games are played at Grainger High School.

 

Not sure on the other game times on Saturday, But i do know Grainger Boys play @ 8:30

District 4 AAA

Boys

 

Last night Sevier County beat South Doyle 47-24 and play Lenior City Friday at 8:00 PM

the winner of that game plays #1 Bearden

 

Also last night William Blount beat Heritage 69-60 and plays Maryville at 6:30 Friday. The winner of that game plays #2 Farragut

I'm still lacking some/all info in the following districts:

 

Girls: 2A, 3A, 4A, 2AA, 3AA, 5AA, 14AA, 4AAA, 15AAA

Boys: 2A, 3A, 4A, 2AA, 3AA, 4AA, 4AAA, 15AAA

 

If you know any of the tournament directors or coaches for any of the above districts, please contact them to find the missing info so everything can be posted.

      Why? Low pay. Low budget thanks to the Rotary milking the programs revenue. Foul smell. There are other negative things... Positives: the players and being toward the top of the classification numbers wise.

      What we have here is an influx of outsiders raining down on the town of Maryville like a swarm of locust trying to change our culture into the same crap they moved away from. I have no issues with anyone coming here but don't bring your politics with you. Most people around here never pay attention to the elections and keep letting the same ole rats and vermin right back in the back door and wonder why things are like they are. The problem at Maryville High is mainly due to letting outsiders get a foothold on control and shove their agenda down everyone's throat. Anyone that leaves there or let's say ranoff are replaced with an outsider with the same mindset. Eventually Maryville High will never be the same as it once was which I'm beginning to believe already but it's only chance of survival are to recruit people that will get in there and reverse the damage that has already happened.

      Athletics is just a piece. It can help them academically, socially and add confidence. I was still 17 when I finished my first quarter at UT. I was the last to get my driver's license. It's not always just for athletics.
