Ibleedpurpleandgold
7 top seeds and 9 total in the top 2 for Clarksville? I'll take that. Good luck, everybody.
MatWizard87
i noticed where it looks like some of clarksville's and kenwood's wrestler's will be meeting up early in the brackets. that could prove crucial to who wins the region this year. the one i noticed was rye and armstrong are on the same side of the bracket. i guess rye lost to somebody to keep him from being a higher seed? I noticed that, too. Seemed a little weird, considering the season Rye has been having. But as they say, seeding matters to everybody but the champ, and you know where my hopes lie. This has to be one of the best match-ups of the tournament either way, both are state caliber wrestlers.
Prdad
Couldn??™t understand why they gave Kenwood heavy the extra match? He should sweep 285 regardless. Armstrong should take 135, will be a surprise if he doesn??™t. Noticed the Rossview Johnson is like 29-0 or something but like someone mentioned in an earlier post level of comp hasn??™t been there. Grady should take 140 with ease, followed by Johnson or Williams. Kenwood??™s 140 could sneak in there but he will have to have the match of his life. best of luck to all region 9 wrestlers. MatWizard87
Why would it matter? Kenwood will not be a factor. Clarksville will run away with that region. No one will be within 40 points. Mark it down. i'm a clarksville high guy by far, i also know you can't count kenwood out from having a good run. they have one guy for sure a region champ and maybe one or two others. they did have the most region champs last year i believe. so they could be a factor. you can't count any team out. The brackets were created by placing the seeded wrestlers in first. Then the other wrestlers were drawn in randomly by the computer software. This insures that all seeded wrestlers have an equal opportunity to score bonus points in a weight class that is not full. The byes are balanced between each half of the bracket and the unseeded wrestlers fill the open spots. Most coaches will want their seeded wrestlers, especially their high seeds, to receive first round matches.
MatWizard87
so does that essentially mean that beyond a top seed the seedings are randomly drawn?
Cobb
so does that essentially mean that beyond a top seed the seedings are randomly drawn? No in same weight classes they were seeded all the way out to 8th.
MatWizard87
No in same weight classes they were seeded all the way out to 8th. oh ok i just misunderstood. i thought it said the top seeded wrestler was put in the bracket and everyone else was randomly drawn. i knew that couldnt be right.
