This is what was in the Overton Co. news....of cousre it's going to tell all the Livingston girls. Not sure about the others.

Leslie Smith-Coach of the year

Adrian West & Karissa Dyer- Most Improved player

Adrian West- Defensive player

It didn't say Lashay Davis was MVP but assume she was

1st Team

Kendra Kilgore-LA

Molly Eacret-York

Rachel Brown-York

Kayci Ferriss-SC

Karrisa Dyer-Upperman

Alissa Sells & Makenzie Sells were named 2nd team

Adrian West & Shelby Taylor were named to 3rd team

Chelsey Car - honorable mention

Makenzie Sells & Malory Mahaney- Freshman team

It didn't say anything about Makenzie being Freshman of the year? Did I hear that wrong last night???

It was not in the local paper in Cookeville today. I know Lashay did get MVP. I know Jennifer Maynard got on the second team, Dyer on first team and Roberts on third team from Upperman. I did hear that Sells was Freshman of the year.

I agree about Molly. I think she is a great player and even better kid. By saying the poster wasn't too far off, I meant all the predictions.

Hey Big_Daddy thanks, York is made up of a great bunch of girls and Jamestown is proud of them. Predictions where pretty close: Davis got MVP. Eacret, Ferris, Brown, Kilgore, & Dyer got 1st team (I think). Congratulations to all the girls, great bunch of players and good luck this weekend. Congrats to Coach Smith & Storie for coach of the year!

Our girls from Upperman did very good on awards!

Good Job Lashay, Karissa, Jennifer, Alyson & Kayla!

This was in the Herald Citizen

Upperman junior Lashay Davis took the district's top honor 7-AA Most Valuable Player.

"Lashay's very deserving of the award," said Upperman head coach Dana McWilliams. "She's had a great season and helped lead us to the conference title. She's a great player and does a lot of things for her team and she's got a lot of good players around her."

Livingston Academy's Lesley Smith and York Institute's Tonya Storie became a great choice to split the award of Coach of the Year.

First team

Upperman's Karissa Dyer, Livingston's Kendria Kilgore, Smith County's Kayci Ferriss, York Institute Molly Eacret and Rachel Brown

Livingston Academy's Mackenzie Sells was named the district's Freshman of the Year.

The district's All-Freshman team featured five players who have made an impact for their teams this season and could play a larger role in the future. Upperman was represented by Kayla Biles and Livingston Academy's Mallory Mahaney made the roster. Emily Sissom (Cannon County), Caroline Owen (Smith County) and Lauren Ruehlen (Cannon County) rounded out the team's selections.

The All-Defensive team was a who's-who of 7-AA talent, spearheaded by Lady Owl Ferriss, Upperman's Dyer and Alyson Roberts, Dragonette Brown, as well as Livingston Academy's Adrian West and Macon County's Katelyn Gregory.
