Probably.......AAA-Farragut, AA- Seymour and Gibbs, A- Lookout Valley and Rockwood

I definaltely have to agree with you on all of those. It's going to be a really tight race with Rockwood and LV in A. I got the chance to see both teams play in the state tournament last year and i wouldnt be surprised to find them in the state championship. Both teams are solid on offense and defense especially Rockwood in hitting. Thier hitting lineup is just as good as anyone in the state. Not to mention Rockwood already has 5 college signees.

Dont leave out Science Hill High School. They should have a very solid team this year. They will have N. Patterson who is a great defensive player and consistent hitter. Ben McKinney who will help them out greatly with their pitching, also there pitcher Lucas Anderson will be a great asset that will help them out this year. Caleb Mancuso is a strong competitor and has a cannon for an arm. Derek Feiffer is also a very sound defensive player and a decent hitter. Also Lance Reed is a great athlete and is very well taught. Another player is Devon Muse who Is a very powerful player at the plate and has a decent arm, with a couple adjustments he could find himself doing damage on the field. Also Aaron Ferrel who is a lefty for science hill will help the team out if his control has settled down he will be a sound pitcher. Also Daniel Sharp, Caleb Mancuso, and Nathaniel Patterson will serve as threats this year on the mound. Also andrew sims is good defensive player and solid at the plate. There are many other players and attributes to players that i have not named. I only have limited knowledge on the baseball club, but all around they are a very solid team offensively and definsively and could find themselves at State this year.

the west high trojans should be pretty tough this year. i look for them to be goin pretty deep.

It is amazing that Morristown West people always want to build up the Trojans no matter what the sport is, Don't be surprised if they finish 3rd or 4th in their conference. I would look for Morristown East or Greeneville to defend Region 1 District 2

how can morristown east or greeneville defend the conference when they didn't win it last year. last time i checked the trojans were number one and cocke county finished number two. so i find it hard for a team to defend a team that they didn't win last year. and yes the trojans are talked about a lot, but why shouldn't they be because they always seem to finish at the top every single year.

    • Understand the young thing.  I was one of those.  Barely 17 when I graduated from high school and started college.  But redshirting for athletic purposes isn't doing them any favors, in my opinion.  Life isn't always going to be fair.

    • The Girls Basketball team I am a part of played for a gold ball this season. One of the biggest differences in the sports is that there is no field prep/maintenance in basketball.   Our baseball is successful and play 30 games in the regular season as well. All of the teams dedicate A LOT of time in preparing for their next opponent.
    • Im pretty excited about the new rules that NFHS voted to adopt. Does anyone know if this will take place in Tennessee starting this year? I think I heard/read somewhere that the TSSAA bi-laws say they have to mirror what the NFHS does, and when the NFHS offered the current weight classes as options, TSSAA didn’t adopt them until NFHS made them official. Did NFHS make these changes official starting next season or will it be similar to the weight classes where TSSAA doesn’t change what they are doing until it is  an officially official part of the NFHS rule book? It’ll be interesting to see if it is rolled out for the new TSSAA Middle School season and I saw a post where the youth wrestling in TN was going to vote on adopting it as well.  I’ll pray for all the youth coaches that will have to shoulder the confusion from all those crazy #### parents who already think they know the rules more than everyone else  . Imagine the first time their kid is taken down and a 3 goes up on the scoreboard or their kid gets pinned with only one point of contact in the cylinder. Their heads might explode. i kid, I kid. Sort of. I’m surprised ride time was brought down with all the other changes. I know some argue that it promotes stalling on top, but its been an official scoring method in college forever, so I figure it must be doing something right. Do any of you think that’ll ever be implemented?
