Jc-copper b game

I have been highly critical of the refs this year. I repeat that some of the worst I have seen in 40 years. We are a critical people, but slow to give praise. I think the crew that did this game sat. nite did an excellent job . They were not perfect, no one is, but they did a good professional job. They called a lot of fouls, but both teams played sloppy at times. Good job refs. I repeat something needs to be done before next year here in 7a. The refs should not be the stars of the game. I was once told that if you did not notice the refs they were doing a good job. Touch fouls should be eliminated, if one team gets on someones back, it should be called when that happens on the other end. When a good clean block is done it should be let go. When one team is called for charging, and on the other end they knock a player down nothing is called, even though though they had position. When walking is called on a team even though their pivot foot has not moved. When walking is called and they are standing still, these can be improved on. But I want to again praise the jc-cb refs, and it just reminds me of ho w it could be. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

I have to agree with coach, The officials came out set the pace early and let the girls have a chance to adjust. Some didn't do that quick enough but that's the way it should be. We got a lot of fouls called on us but, but the ones they called were good ones. They finally called consistant on both ends and things settled in. Good Job guy's...

How come the refs do better in a blowout than a close game?

It wasn't a blowout from the beginning. I was very nervous there for a lil while. The quick fouls that our girls got, were most definitely fouls. The refs were very consistant. They called the same from start to finish. They let the girls know early as to how aggressive they could play or couldn't play.

It wasn't a blow out first half, let me give you a clue... someone correct me if I am wrong... but a one time the foul ratio was 7-0 their favor in first half then I think it ended up with them still getting the foul ration to their favor until crunch time in the fourth so it wasn't that it was a blow out until late third qrt copper basin has some good talent and they are a tough lil and quick..I think we came out at half and put the press on them and rattled their cage with the d that we put on them and that they couldn't hit very well either. It was touchy fouls called, from the beginning to the end and both sides had to adjust..It wasn't a good blow out game I personally thought it was sloppy especially in the first half. I like to see a blow out before the half not wait about it...psst i really don't like a blow out!! The jccr games will do just fine that way you get your money's worth /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" /> If we make to the finals, I hope we are their with CR, If this is the case and I hope it is it will be one of the best games to watch all year beside the district we have already played. I got my finger's crossed that this is the scenario..

We all like to rag the ref's when they bad, but i want to give them credit when they do a good job!! Gives you hope that they are some good ones out there...I know they are, just few and far between GOOD JOB!! Consistant

CR and JC both have their hands full before anyone needs to think of a 5th match, there are 6 teams that will do everything they can to see that does not happen and everyone is beatable

You got that right, Now i said if and a big If at that... /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" /> I don't like eating crow, Devilish has several recipes but I do know they would be several to cook it up for ya!!! Got my fingers crossed though!!

There is not a team playing that has a gimme, thats why they play the game, the second game if we surrive the first could be real tough, although I like our chances we ned to stay focused.

AMEN senator. well posted. /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
