Dobyns-Bennett over Beardan

Didn't think I was being overly harsh or critical. Didn't say or imply that they were bad or trouble kids. I know that they are not. Just saying they needed to grow up. They need to make sure they are taking care of business properly both on the court and in the classroom. If an average fan watched them play in several of the games I've seen, they might question (as I've seen others do in posts regarding previous games) the whining , gesturing and trash talking that they are involved in.

I know for a fact that Jenkins, Campbell, Craig, and Upchurch have it going in the classroom. They are all nominated to WHO's WHO's among students based on their classroom work while playing in championship games. Are you an Irish fan, if so you must be more involved in the Bearden games. Why are you at the Bearden games watching trash talk and not supporting the Irish (whoever they are). Are you even a adult. If so you are quick to hurt and harm with harsh words against young people.

Believe it or not games are played several night a week and I can watch both. I am an adult. Didn't call out any specific person(s) regarding classroom performance. The harshness was directed at the antics such as the trash talking, gesturing and whining to the officials of a few that have been documented by several other fans of OR, Maryville, Farragut, etc.

Dear fanonboard and Feartheveer,

Any comments or insider's view on Blevins blowing up and trashing kids in the locker room after the game?

Is that what you have heard?

Playing a Sub-State game on the road is the toughest road game of the season.

I think the DB Crowd had some impact on the game.

From what I hear, he really was easy on the guys in the locker room after the game. Inside scoop says he encouraged them to pull it together. Telling them that they worked hard all season. They just need to go take a break then work hard on individual skill. The team seems to have 3 or 4 D1 prospects. He can be painfully hard on them.

Got to rush the court, and this time I didn't fall on my ######!

Congrats to the Indians on an outstanding win! Wish I could have been there, I was out of town. I heard that the student section was the best they've had in awhile. You'd be surprised on how much of an impact the crowd can have. Hopefully we will have a big crowd in the Boro'. Best wishes on the road to the state tourney Thursday!

    • Never in my life have I seen a team in a scrimmage against their own defense look so lost and confused. The defense didn’t look much better, the coaching staff can’t keep their anger together, not only with the players but also with their other coaches. I feel awful for those players. None of them look like they wanted or should’ve been out there, but for the grown men on the sidelines acting like fools, it's just embarrassing to the Farragut name and reputation. I now see why they chose not to live stream this on their YouTube channel.
    • We could sure use some math teachers country wide. Ever go into a store or restaurant and the bill comes to $9.97 and you give them a ten dollar bill and 2 pennies because you wanted a nickle back and then the meltdown starts and the next thing two more people have to come and help figure it out and the place comes to a complete halt. I see this everyday and it's a sad representation of all these schools allowing these kids out the door to get shortchanged the rest of their life.
    • I like the Pirates chances. I’ll be there as soon as work allows.
    • Stars, I heard we were searching far and wide for some math teachers. Any chance their kids bench press or 40 times are getting checked? LOL I’ve heard good things from 825.
    • I think it was expected. “Bad” luck I guess to get a couple difference maker QBs in the same class. I thought the decision was made a little early myself, but they were struggling offensively last year.  I assume the running quarterback alco had last year would be a senior this fall, and the transfer would start the following two years in addition to getting a ton of playing time this year. Maybe he waits two yrs, but I doubt it. The kid is good. So is the one who stayed.
