Congrats to Ricky Norris and his Oak Ridge team. I think the turnover that lead to the go ahead lay up was probally the play of the game. Even after Jackson back to back 3's OR was still up 2, then came the turnover.

I believe Dowdell should have called timeout.

However, great game and good luck to all players. The East can play with the West.

I think that you're being WAAAAAY to presumptious!

 

What about the other 6 teams--what makes you so sure that WS and OR are better than them, as your statement implies?

Sure, I'm pulling for WS and Ridgeway (I know nothing about the remaining other 5 teams); but I'm not so sure that WS (and Oak Ridge) is the best team left in the tournament. Afterall, Ridgeway did actually beat White Station 3 strait times, this season. In addition, I seem to recall that Antioch defeated WS as well... These 2 facts alone, give me reason to pause, before crowning OR and WS as the two best teams in the AAA tournament.

 

There's a lot of basketball to be played. No outcome is gonna surprise me-- because I honestly do not think that there is ONE dominant team (at least, on PAPER). I can tell you for a FACT that White Station and Ridgeway are both solid teams (Ridgeway being slightly better, IMO), yet NEITHER is dominant.

Jackson is the real deal, very good player.

Hall is overrated. He is not 6-8. However, he is very athletic.

 

Oak Ridge:

Jared Stephens is highly underrated. Jackson not all that much better.

Quinche Dowdell played better than Hall. Not saying that he is better, but he played better today. His foul trouble really hurt.

Demarcus Rogers stepped up huge.

 

Congrats to O.R. on a great season they have a lot to be proud of. White Station will have to play better to win.

 

 

P.S. Tyler Clark is a really nice guy.

I am not a Hall fan at all. If he is not 6'8" then, Shaq must not be 7'....Did you stan beside the young man. I refereed to games of their JV when he was ineligible and he is 4 to 5 inches taller than me and I am over 6'4",

I read on the Tennessee Scout BOARD that UT Assistant coach Steve Forbes was there to see Joe Jackson play. Sounds like Joe Jackson is the real deal.
