terop
terop, I guess I should've asked you as you are more with the Memphis ball...So you think Marterence Brock is average right now? Do you think he'll be in the top 50 Sophomores in Tennessee...He's obviously a pretty solid player considering he's a main sub for AAA state champs Ridgeway. I think he's solid but not great...most of the past top players that Coach Hennings has produced you could see star potential as sophmores..but Brock will be a key player with the success in Ridgeway future...also be on the look out for the youngsters at Southwind High....remember Southwind Middle has had one of the top middle school programs in the state the last 6 or 7 years and sent players on to Ridgeway and Kirby but now they will be staying
chipper_jones_4mvp
MJ played for the Tennessee All-Stars.He and 5 other seniors on the UC team along with some from Humboldt,Trenton,OC,Clarksburg, and Dresden. He played in front of the college coaches.Played at Georgia Tech,The King of the South in Nashville at David Lipscomb, and Indianapolis,In.These were all NCAA certified meaning college coaches were in attendance.Played in about 6 tournaments, but not the schedule of Midstate,or Nashville Celtics.MJ was asked by Midstate and the Celtics but chose not to.His junior year,he played with the Murphysboro Stars and didnt get much time.He didnt want to travel back and forth to middle tn and not play.Wanted to play with his friends in UC.He dont have the high majors, but he have 19 offers on the table right now.So it all is working out for him.He got to play in 25-30 games over the summer. The AAU circuit is the best way to get recognized.Playing with the best team is not going to always guarantee you a high major offer.MJ played with Tn All-Stars and Justin Blake played with Memphis YOMCA,which is the best AAU team in Tenn, and he and MJ have about the same offers. Both are good players and both will help somebodys team in college. We are based in UC,and we do it for guys that dont get asked to play by AAU teams to let them get a chance to play in AAU tournaments and give them a chance to show the coaches what they can do.Hope to be up there with thew top AAU teams in Tenn one day.Our program will have some guys play some type of college ball next season in MJ Brown,Andre Coby,Nic Brooks,Lovan Mosley,Robert Yancey,Ellijah Epperson(Football),Tony Wilkins,Erin Harris(Clarksburg).8 ball players out of 12 is not bad. CJ could go to Memphis YOMCA or to the Tennessee All-Stars both very good opportunities for him to show what he has during AAU tournaments in front of college coaches! yankees8589
I think they field at least two or three different teams. I know last season they had at least a select and an elite team.

yankees8589
Oh, kinda like Oak Hill Academy's Gold and Red team? Kinda...looks like they have three teams at one age group and two at another age group. Just found out DeJuan Taylor played for the Ballerz last summer. Here is a list of MID STATE BALLERZ unsigned seniors. ..most are JUCO, D11, or NAIA. Just anout all the D1 guys have signed. I figure all these will sign somewhere this spring. This info is updated and ratings are pretty accurate. Wish I knew more about Kimbles recruitment..He is at the very least JUCO or NAIA. If you figure Blake, Taylor, Kimble, Parr, and CJ and Pierce from next season that would make 6 players that will play in college from this seasons team...Not bad..all the way from JUCO to D1. I'm not sure why Hopson ws left of the list. I know he was a verbal commit to Miss. Sate after his soph year but has since backed off and opened up his recruitment. As the Spring signing period draws nearer, there are still a large number of talented available Seniors from the Ballerz Class of 2008 available for colleges of all levels... 6'4 WF Rayshawn Walker (Northeast)...Mid Maj+ D-1 6'3 2G Tyshwan Edmunson (UHA)...Mid Maj+ D-1 6'6 F Kyle Binder (Farragut)... D-III, D-II, Low D-1 6'8 PF Nicholas Livesay (Bolton)... NAIA/D-II 6'5 WF/PF Victor McLin (Dyersburg)... Low D-1, NAIA, Juco 6'4 WF Lavonte Henderson (Clarksville)... NAIA, Juco 5'3 PG Michael Anderson (Kenwood)... NAIA, Juco 6'0 PG Dee Williamson (Southside)... NAIA, D-II, Juco 6'5 WF/PF Brandon Hall (Tullahoma)... NAIA, D-II, Juco 5'9 PG Robbie Townsend (Ft. Campbell)... NAIA, D-II, Juco 6'3 WF Thaddeus Glynn (Dyersburg)... NAIA, Juco 6'1 WF DeJuan Taylor (Dyer Co)... Juco 6'3 WF Jermeal Bingham (McNairy Central)...
