My top 4 team's in TN next season:

1. Briarcrest Christian -#1 player in his class and plenty of help

2. White Station -Joe Jackson and a full year of Farrakhan Hall will equal a lot of W's for them

3. Christ Presbyterian Academy -Unstoppable inside-out game with Mason and Miller

4. Ensworth -Already stacked with talent and experience and will welcome the return of Tavarres Jefferson

I respect your opinion about the teams, but have to disagree with only 1 thing the bolded word there (Unstoppable) and it has nothing to with that 1 game everyone debates with... NO TEAM IS UNSTOPPABLE!!! I have to agree they are 1 of the top teams in the state, but not unstoppable!

Unstoppable was referring to Miller and Mason's inside out game, not the team.

Martino Brock whom plays for Nashville Christian Advancement Acad. also has a brother that played for Ridgeway this year that was pretty solid and coming off the bench of a loaded Ridgeway team. Yankees, I don't see him on your list...His name is Marterence Brock, what was your opinion on him????

To be honest with you I can't place him right off the top of my head but I will say this....everybody on the Ridgeway team impressed me. I posted a couple of weeks ago that the Ridgeway team looked like men not highschool players. I saw Ridgeway early and at the state tournement and they were something else. Didn't Martino transfer to Nashville Christian Acad. I might be wrong here but is NCAA a 5th year prep school or something out of the ordinary TSSAA schools..I don't even think they can play post season in TN. NCAA is the same team that played Oak Hill this year ...I think. NCA may have been the best team in the entire state but they definitly have an advantage in that they recruit. Am I right about this school and do you know the roster of NCAA. I would be curious to see the talent on that team. I guess I could look it up but if you know anything about them I would appreciate the info.

Yes, Martino played for Ridgeway and transferred to Nashville Christ. Advancement Acadamy due to grades. He was in attendance at the state tournaments to watch Ridgeway play. Marterence Brock (Martino's brother) was #1 and was pretty much Ridgeway's main sub. He wasn't near Joe Jackson but I'd bet he'd be in the top 50 Sophomores. Maybe his name just hasn't gotten out on the recruiting boards yet but he's pretty dern good!

NCA did play Oak Hill Acadamy this year and it was against Oak Hill's "A" team and lost 84-72. I'm sure you know the in's and out's of a prep school and what they can do as you know quite a bit about basketball. Their final record was 51-15. As you would expect with it being a prep school, they'd play ALOT more games. I know their good but I'm still not sure their the best in Tennessee. I see that their last game was against Moore Co. and they lost 57-52. Moore Co. lost to Union City 101-86 and it should've/could've been alot worse and no I'm not saying Union City is the best in the state, just making a point. However, 51-15 is IMPRESSIVE! I can't find a roster on their team but will continue to keep looking. I tried to enter the website on here that I found it on and it's an unapproved site for coacht so I better obey the rules.

Ok, I just noticed something yankees now that I just posted all that....there's 2 different teams from Nashville with the same name. There's Nashville Christian Acadamy whom was the 51-15 team that DID play Oak Hill and lose but there's ALSO Nashville Christian Advancement Acadamy and according to the website that I'm getting my info from NCAA turned in NOTHING and has very few scores on their season. Martino Brock plays for NCAA and not NCA, I know that for a fact. I also know NCAA did play Oak Hill this year and NCAA played NCA and beat them by 23. So, my second paragraph is on NCA and NOT NCAA. Sorry.

Yes I know about the ins and outs of the prep schools. Memphis practically recruited a team from Lurinburg prep... Antonio Anderson, Robert Dozier, Joey Dorsey, Kareem Cooper (transfered to utep I think) and Shawn Williams now with the Pacers....Dorsey was coach Cal's first recruit from Lurinburg.Did you know that going back to Anderson and Doziers last year at prep school they are something 142 and 9. Memphis may or may not win it all ..who knows..but all the kids on th roser were big time winners in high school and prep school.

Anyway...I have found a little info on NCAA. I/m not sure they played Moore County..there Is another A school in Nashville with a simialr name that was ranked all season in the single A top 10. I bet that is the school your thinking of. Could be wrong but no way Moore county could stay in the same gym with these kids. Here is what I have been able to find out from various sources.

Yea man, I was talking about Nashville Christian Acadamy but while I was typing it I thought I was talking about NCAA and thought it was VERY weird when I saw their record was 51-15 or whatever because I know they (NCAA) lost no where near 15 games this year. NCAA played teams nationally as well as the better programs in TN (Liberty and Manassas to name a few). I know NCAA played Oak Hill and I'm THINKING they only lost by like 6 or 8. I really wished I could've gotten the opportunity to watch NCAA this year but oh well.

Another player that is doing it big that went to prep school is Tyler Smith I think. He was with Giles Co. but transferred to Hargrave Military Acadamy. Like I said I THINK that's right and if I'm wrong I expect someone to correct me on that. I think Hargrave is located in Virginia. Yankees, can you correct me on this?

I think you are correct! Not 100% but I remembered he did transfer to somewhere in Virginia!

Yes you are correct. Some of the big prep basketball programs of the top of my head are Laurinburg prep NC, the Patterson School NC, Hargrave Military Virginia, and Oak Hill Virginia..I know alot of college coaches are going that route now for players.I think Nashville has another prep school by the name of Pioneer Christian. Baksetball is crazy now..prep schools, aau, sponsors and on and on..this stuff was unheard of 20 years ago. Not sure if you follow the AAU teams over the summer...if not you should. They play allover the southeast , southweast, and some in the midwest for the most part....it's amazing that all the local kids get to play like that over the summer and get tons of exposure. I often wonder how many local kids from 15 to 25 years ago would have played at least mid major with the exposure kids get today. The talent has always been here...all over West Tn. I love watching these kids play and better themselves.
