Spring practice now only two weeks away. Lots of changes within the coaching staff especially on the defensive side of the ball. Also a couple of big transfers coming in:Drew Turner (QB-DB) coming back from Washington and a big offensive lineman from Briarcrest should help immediately. It will be interesting to see if the ball control power football will continue. Defensively there are lots of graduating seniors to replace. Also it will be interesting to see if the schemes will change with the loss of Coach Elliott. Any thoughts?

Any more info about the new coaches, other than what was in the paper?

Im pretty sure MBA didn't get a braircrest lineman, were looking good. Possible state championship. I predict MBA BA final again. Runningbacks are senior Patrick Crum. And two stud sophmors who both have 4.5 team. They were the key part of the undefeated freshman team that averaged 45 points a game.

That was an excellent freshman team. However, freshman success doesn't necessarily translate to varsity success. Ask the folks at Ryan.

Who's this new QB transfer? That hasn't gotten much play here.

The QB transfers name is Drew Turner. He attended MBA in the 7th and 8th grades. His father, Todd Turner left Nashville to take the AD job at the University of Washington and the family has returned to Nashville. Drew has had some injury issues and a lingering shoulder problem may keep him from playing QB this season. He is however an outstsanding athlete and will likely start at safety and possibly contribute at wide reciever.

Spencer Wise returns as the starting QB from last years undefeated team and it appears that he will be looked upon to air it out much more this season than last. While the offensive line will be good there is a big drop off this year at running back as compared to last. Crum and the two sophomores have tremendous speed but they cannot compare to the power of Waddey and Vinsang from last season. The Chris Sanders hire as receivers coach is already paying off with vast improvement at that position. Maybe a whole new look this year.....Go Big Red

Who are the two sophomores? I saw the freshman team play a game last year, and they looked extremely good, although they were much, much better than their opponent that afternoon.
